I had a 3pm appointment on a Saturday . They took over 90 minutes to get my car in the back. Then I was informed they didn’t have the correct windshield. I was told by the manager he would get it order first thing Monday morning. It’s Monday afternoon and I’m on the phone with customer service trying to get ahold of the manager for the Chesapeake, VA location. This establishment is poorly ran, it’s really a joke. I’ll be contacting Geico to provide me a different vendor for future auto glass issues.

1st off Lasha & Lamar are AWESOME guys.... they came to my job which made it convenient and their service was amazing.... They were friendly fast & efficient. Definitely will refer this company BECAUSE of these 2 gentleman.

Had my Ram 2500 rear passenger window broken and scheduled an appointment with Safelite. Quoted $380 via an email and attached it to an insurance claim. I got a call to confirm my appointment and then was told it would be $900+, I told the person that was a lot for a window. They came back with "you're going through insurance, but we can change it to cash, and it would be $450". Seriously, how does that make any sense. I called Glass Doctor and got a price of $250. Safelite, you are trying to scam people and their insurance companies.

The level on incompetence is very high with the staff at this location. After dealing with them for a year, of them trying to order and receive the right windshield and trim pieces for my car, I gave up on them and went somewhere else. Over the year I also visited the location for 7-8 appointments, where they would turn me around due to not having the correct pieces. A lot of the times they probably could have called me before I actually showed up, but they would wait till I dropped the car off and they would call me back to pick it up 10 minutes later or turn me around right away. If you absolutely need to use a Safelite, go to the VA Beach location up near the Chic's Beach Area. They had me totally sorted in 3 weeks.

I don't recommend this business at all. I scheduled an appointment with them on Friday 3/15/2024 for a cracked windshield. Everything was fine at first; I gave them my information, and State Farm also gave them my correct information. My appointment comes around, and they cancel it stating that the appointment was canceled due to an incorrect phone number. I checked my phone logs, and NO ONE called me from their company. I called State Farm, and they confirmed that they gave them the correct phone number. Summary: Safelite lied and canceled my appointment because they overbooked.

Can't say I particularly enjoyed my experience with Safelite. Their prices are up there and what they quote you is with glass included. You're not allowed to provide your own glass. If you want OEM glass, be prepared to pay extra- a lot extra. They definitely up-charged me for a quote to get OEM glass vs their generic vendors. I spent 20% LESS on buying the glass through my car dealership's parts counter.Do yourself a favor and if you're going to go with them at all, get the OEM. Last time I used generic through them, the fit and finish wasn't all that great. I also believe the slight differences in the generic glass vs the OEM led to my camera and sensors being off after the change. Safelite nor the OEM could ever get them quite calibrated after that.

Mike from Safelite arrived at my workplace, notifying me the entire time of his arrival and during the window replacement. The workmanship that Mike provided was second to none. I recommend Mike and Safelite Auto Glass, when you want the best quality job.

Well in 6 hours, I had one technician at my house for a service call. And then another incident happened with a different vehicle and we went in to have it serviced. Great guys. I remember Robbie and Bill were both personable and explained everything. Good customer service. Our wait was not long. And our house call service tech kept us informed of when he would arrive.

Someone is going to pay for this - this male, bearded with black hat and glasses just ran me off the road and damages are covering the car I literally just bought. Not only did he run me off the road , he even slammed on his brakes in the middle of traffic to avoid me following him and taking care of this matter. I tried calling the “how’s my driving number?” But the operator was just trying to get me set up with a quote. I will not rest until someone reaches out with appropriate corrective actions for this matter. This incident happened around 215PM on 2/07. I am not sure which branch he reports to but we were near Suffolk when it happened. The plate number is USJ-8260, and also the number below the “how’s my driving?” Is 19547.. could just be an ext but i am using it as another identifier until that part is confirm. I do not want to damage reputation with 1 star reviews, just need to get issue resolved immediately. I apologize if he doesn’t work at this location but Safelite should know who they have operating their vehicles… I’ve used Safelite for years, never any issues. I feel like I wouldn’t be advantageous keeping people like that on staff, for it seems this individuals values aren’t aligned with the company he works for.

The work was great and was done in a timely fashion. I’m upset that I was told one price and paid another. All the invoices/receipts that I have said the same thing and that’s what I thought I paid. Later, I check my account and I have two charges, I call to find out what the difference was and was told the sales tax difference. So if there was a difference then make me aware in store and not let me find after I get home.

Take the car in to have the windshield replaced. Pick the car up, the windshield looks fine, take the car get of the Interstate and the interior of the car sounds like a wind tunnel. Take the car back and they say they can't fix it until next Thursday. These people are not interested rectifying the issue, they are only interested in the money from the insurance company.

I got a crack in my windshield while driving south on HWY 664 last week that fairly quickly propagated to become a jagged 10 inch scar on my windshield. Called insurance company yesterday and James came out this morning, finishing windshield install by 10:30 am. James was courteous, professional, and meticulous from the start and did a fantastic job. I couldn't be happier...Great job Safelite!!!!

I had my very first windshield crack. Appointment was made through my Insurance company. I brought my Mazda 3 2019 to the Chesapeake location. My technician was Randy. I had a lot of questions for him which he answered with ease. Windshield and calibration was done within timeframe promised. Randy was very knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend this company and know I will get great service if I ever need them again. Thanks so much
