We stayed here prior to leaving for a cruise out of Norfolk. Due to weather we ended up having to book a second night. Couldn’t have asked for a better room setup to accommodate us! Our stay was great from start to finish. All staff was friendly, courteous and eager to help. Breakfast was great especially with Ms. Laura. She made sure you had everything you needed and was so friendly. Will definitely plan to come here again whenever staying in the area.

The rooms were decent, there seemed to be pet hair on the floor and hair in the tub.
The staff, breakfasts (healthy options) and amenities were great!

My recent stay at Staybridge Suites was truly fantastic.
The pool was wonderful—clean, relaxing, and perfect for winding down. The breakfast buffet exceeded my expectations with a wide variety of delicious options, and the hostess was incredibly professional and welcoming to everyone who came into the lounge.
The suite itself was spotless, and the beds were extremely comfortable, making for a great night’s sleep. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything I needed, which made my stay even more convenient.
When I requested extra towels, the staff member who brought them did so with a smile and great attitude—such a thoughtful touch.
I absolutely plan to stay at this location again next year when I visit Virginia. Thank you Staybridge for the great hospitality I received.

I stayed for four nights last week. The good parts: All the staff were very nice and fairly competent, including front desk, housekeeping, and technicians. They cheerfully let us switch rooms when we were unhappy with our initials room. The bad parts: We initially had a room on the fourth floor that stubbornly stayed at 75 or 76 degrees despite the air conditioner being set much lower. It felt very hot and stagnant. When we complained, they said that the fourth floor has the sun beating down on the roof and when the temperature outside is in the 90s, it just doesn't cool down below the 70's. We switched to a room on the second floor that was much cooler but had substantial road noise from a nearby highway. The bathroom was very tiny and hard to maneuver around (this was a room with a king bed, others may have different layouts). Breakfast was very mediocre in quality. I like to eat oatmeal, and there were grits instead of oatmeal 3 out of the 4 days. The one day they had oatmeal, it was very watery. The sausages and other food they had did not look very appetizing, either.

The room itself was very nice and clean, and I appreciated the overall setup, especially having 3 TVs. However, only one remote control worked, which was inconvenient. I went to the front desk during the overnight shift to report that the batteries likely needed replacing, but the staff member was extremely rude, dismissive, and did nothing to resolve the issue.
I also informed him that the chlorine levels in the pool seemed excessively high. The strong chemical smell caused my children and me to cough and sneeze, and unfortunately, it made my kids so sick they threw up. Instead of showing concern or offering assistance, the overnight staff member continued to be unkind and unhelpful, which made the situation even more upsetting.
Thankfully, when I addressed these concerns with a different front desk representative the following morning, she was very kind, professional, and apologetic. She acknowledged the issue and credited me 3,000 points for the inconvenience, which I appreciated.
In summary, the room was great aside from the overpowering chlorine smell and the unacceptable behavior of the overnight staff member. I hope this feedback helps improve service for future guests.

We stayed at this location last weekend. After checking in we found out our room had a water leak and the carpet was all wet. There was a huge fan where they were trying to dry it out but the whole carpet in the 2 bedrooms was wet. We checked in around midnight so we were tired and exhausted with kids. We were told they r sold out and they can’t give us another room. They offered us another room but it would not accommodate our family so we ended up staying in the smaller room and using the pull out sofa in the other room. Not the front desk fault but they should have told us before hand. Front desk manager at night went out of his way to help us and we appreciate it. He gave us a discount on our stay also which we appreciated. Everyone at the front desk was super helpful and nice. Next day they made sure they had a room to switch us to but carpet was slightly damp by that time so we decided to stay in the room. We had a 2 queen beds and pull out sofa so plenty of space to spread around. Hotel is decent and clean. The breakfast was decent also but had no tea both days we were there bc according to the lady they ran out. Hotel was reasonably priced for the area and the front desk made the trip for us. We were irritated to find the carpet wet but it’s the way the check in person and the night supervisor handle the situation that made our stay. Special thanks to them. We will definitely stay there again when visiting the area.

It was supposed to be living room with Queen size in the bedroom but instead there was two fulls? Other than that though the rooms were fairly nice and most importantly, clean!

Faulty fire alarm which would have been unstable if there was communication. No one came out or spoke to guests just sent a mass text and hid. Breakfast ran out a full hour before it was supposed to. Hot tub was out of service. Batteries dead in remotes. I had to go get bedding for the pull out couch again understandable but then was told they ran out of pillows. Called a corporate customer service number and was told I would be contacted by the assistant general manager but there has been no call. Very disappointed with the price for the value of the service. I had very high expectations. The woman who checked us in was phenomenal even if she was eating dinner at the front desk. You can tell there isn't enough support for employees to keep standards where they should be.

Laura at Breakfast was incredible! She made the stay worth it for me and my family.
She works tirelessly to ensure that the breakfast experience is smooth, clean and easy. Food available. Great attitude and friendly interaction even with a clearly busy assignment.
I’m talking a full dining room smoothly served and cared for.
Experiences like this make staying at a hotel property a good investment!
Thank you Laura S from breakfast!

Absolutely horrible customer service & management. Was told I was refunded it’s been five days shy of a month since & have yet to receive the refund. I called ihg since that is the parent company and turns out ihg is just as worthless as this hotel. Have called numerous times to the hotel and basically, this refund is in space & non existent. They won’t do anything about it.
