The main thing I liked about my experience with renting a U-Haul van was the customer service I received. Everything was explained clearly, and the agent was very kind. The second thing I liked was the van was brand new. It drove so easily and it was a very pleasant experience from beginning to end. The pricing was awesome as well.

I needed to cancel a truck reservation made at the Portsmouth location and was surprised to learn it had been transferred to the Butler Rd location. Talked with Mary at Butler Rd and she took the time to figure out why it was transferred, corrected the outdated and incorrect info on my account, compared prices of various truck sizes, and looked for the truck size we requested in the broader area. She spent quite a bit of time with me when she wasn't needed in the store (I think she might be the manager) and was consistently patient, professional and kind. I can't say enough good things about her!

PRO: The customer service was outstanding by Mary! She really made a tough moving day a great experience by going out of her way to help including coming out and helping move and hook up a 6x12 cargo trailer. The two others I have rented at other locations and they just pointed to where it was. She came out with a trailer dolly in the cold and helped my hook it up to the rental truck. She is awesome.
CON: The 6x12 trailers really need to have jacks and it's a safety issue. You basically have to deadlift the trailer tongue onto the truck and someone is going to get hurt. Would also recommend wheel chocks to keep them from rolling over someone when disconnected on a hill.
WISH: Rental of extended ramps. The truck ramp was too short and made the grade down a bit steep and dangerous for heavy items. Would be great to have a longer ramp available that could hook into the truck body.

Only place I was able to find a motorcycle trailer to rent/use. The gentleman who worked there was a huge help. Highly recommend this location

Samantha Tumminello the manager stop me from renting a truck because she felt like I couldn’t bring the truck back on time. But I have been renting from uhaul 7 years never had a truck come back late . I have a history of on time return . She also lied about pads for rent as well . Very nasty lady threaten me to never let me rent from uhaul again if I didn’t bring back the truck in time . Then told I couldn’t rent from there

The truck is about to give out. The transmission was STRUGGLING. It needs maintenance or replacement.HOWEVER, the lady who helped me was really nice and helpful. It was purely an equipment issue.
