The food was good. The server was really polite and patient. I would love to have been able to have better table arrangement for my family. They arranged a long table setting which kinda created a separation between the family. One talked to each other and the other half talked to each other because at a point it was too far to enter act. I would definitely go back again for the great selection of food. You can have breakfast or lunch anytime and i thank thave have driks if you like. Otherwise it was nice. This day was the celebration of my nieces christening. Her name is Amya.

Title: Village Inn: A Missed Opportunity for Charm and QualityLocation: 1509 Cedar Road, ChesapeakeRating: ⭐⭐Village Inn, nestled in the heart of Chesapeake, exudes the potential to be a neighborhood gem. However, my recent experience left much to be desired. Despite the friendly demeanor of our server, the dining experience fell short in several aspects.Upon arrival, our party of three was left unattended for an unacceptable amount of time, despite the restaurant's modest occupancy. While the handheld ordering system expedited our requests to the kitchen, the execution was lacking. Lukewarm pancakes and missing items from our orders were immediate disappointments. To add to the culinary woes, a stray hair adorned one of our entrees, indicating a lapse in kitchen hygiene.Service recovery proved challenging as well. The absence of flatware necessitated a lengthy wait and a request to another server. It became evident that Village Inn suffers from staffing inadequacies across various roles, from table bussing to kitchen support.Beyond operational hiccups, the restaurant lacks a distinctive appeal. With an uninspired ambiance and lackluster offerings, Village Inn fails to captivate diners beyond mere sustenance. In a community ripe with culinary diversity, this establishment struggles to stand out.In conclusion, Village Inn has potential, but it requires a significant overhaul to realize it fully. With a dearth of staff and a lack of charm, the establishment falls short of becoming a neighborhood favorite. Perhaps a change in management or a shift towards a more intimate, mom-and-pop approach could breathe new life into this space. As it stands, I remain cautiously optimistic for Village Inn's future but will await improvements before revisiting in the fall.

Can't believe I've never tried this place but got a coupon so took my Mama. Amazing waitress and amazing food. They put Denny's and IHOP to shame and cheaper than Cracker Barral. Chicken Cordon Bleu crepes with hollandaise was delicious.Parking: Cedar RdWheelchair accessibility: My mom has a walker and inside is easy to navigate. Only one side has the smooth sidewalk for wheels so make sure to park on that side.

Visited about one month ago with daughter and two young grandchildren. Seating was not a problem as the place was near empty at 11:30 on a Sunday, but as soon as our waitress came to the table she told us there was only one cook on duty and getting an order can take 30 minutes. We chanced it thinking it couldn't take too long for breakfast with so few orders. As the place filled up it delayed our meal. We got it after about 45 minutes.

Loved the 2-2-2 combo for the value and quality. Eggs, meat, and pancakes for a decent price. It wasn't overfilling which is perfect if you are a light eater like me in the morning. I gave the atmosphere a ding because it's just too big of a place for such cozy food. It goes against the vibe.Dietary restrictions: Offered sugar free syrup for pancakes.

Food was just okay. Only one chef working the entire restaurant, service was slow due to this. Very expensive not your typical diner experience.

This place is okay. I went there 2 times. We had to wait some time for someone to take us to our seats. The waitress quickly came to toe our order. There was not a lot of pool there and they took forever to get our foo ready. The place was fine and the guest Wi-Fi was free. After we were done eating they offered us two free slices of pie. It’s okay to go to.

Food was decent but they were incredibly slow.I'm updating this review from what appears to be a few years ago. Nothing has changed, actually that's a lie. They have gotten absolutely worse.I know they need help, it's not the only waitress fault. She was doing her best.. but this location seems to have just given up. She deserves better.Took over 30 minutes to have then even take our order and then 30+ minutes to get our food and it was mostly correct. Mushrooms in the skillet still. Food was delicious once it finally came out.

It’s Easter Sunday, so we decided to go out early and beat the crowd. Went in and waited 15 mins to be sat even though, so many tables were open. We get it, maybe only a certain amount of waitresses were on. No, the “kitchen was backed up” with door dash orders, was what we were told when we sat down. The waitress said they’re behind and we better order right away. We have young kids so we did order right away. Got our drinks delivered by a different waitress, and then we weren’t checked on for 30 mins. My husband drink was empty for about 20 mins. Asked if they started our food, they kept saying ours was next, which was a lie! I hate being lied to. There were 3 tables that waited before us and still had not received their food. Finally a hour after ordering our phone we got an honest answer that they hadn’t even started our food!!!! We have 3 kids, 4, 2 and a 11 month old. Not once were we offered snacks or fruit for the wait. Until my husband said something like “hey these kids are starving can you bring something, anything! “ when we found out our food wasn’t even the grill we said we are leaving this is crazy!!! I’ve never seen a place tan like this. There was maybe 10 tables in the entire restaurant sat. Wasted our entire Easter morning, due to what it seems like bad management!!

Went on 3.14, Pi Day, one server working the whole dining room and only one cook. Shocked at absolutely No management in the building, server said everyone called out. The server was literally running through the dining room with a whole pie above her head.
