I went in for a cleaning While I was in there I had them to adjust my bottom dentures.causing a pinch in my gum. Made all the adjustment. Gave me gum wash to take away the sore so it will heal. Now I can smile with no pain.Abullock9/25/23

I had an excellent experience ☺️ at the Chester, Va.site. Everyone was professional and took time with me. My main concern was addressed as well as a thorough assessment of all of my teeth. I enjoyed my visit. Thank you team Chester, Va.

Aspen Dental is a SCAM.I went to Aspen Dental for the first time 6 months ago and they did my first teeth cleaning in about 3 years. They told me that I had periodontal disease (inflammation of gums) and that I needed a prescription toothpaste to help get my gums back in good health. I knew it had been a long time since I had gone to the dentist so I figured what they were telling was the truth. I paid the $40 for the toothpaste and used it diligently for the last 6 months.Flash forward to yesterday…I arrived at the office and the lady behind the desk told me I owed $57 for my cleaning. I asked her why I owed anything because I have the Delta Dental Buy-up plan for my insurance and cleanings should be free. She told me that it wasn’t just a cleaning I was receiving but “special periodontal care” which is not something that I ever requested. Trying not to cause an issue I paid and went in for my cleaning. For 20 minutes the hygienist poked and prodded and stabbed my gums and I was in a lot of pain. After she was done she told me that I had bleeding and that yet again I needed help with my gums. I never have bleeding at home but it seemed obvious to me that if she stabbed my in the gums long enough that I would have bleeding. She told me that I needed a special mouth wash to help my gums and it was at that point I realized something was off. She then told me that it was absolutely necessary that I come in 3 times a year instead of 2 because of the state of my gums. I take good care of my teeth at home and have never heard of someone being recommended to come in to the dentist 3 times a year. She then took me to the front where I was guilted into paying another $40 for the mouthwash. And then I left without EVER SEEING AN ACTUAL DENTIST. They spent 30 minutes abusing my gums and they never even checked my teeth.I got home and pulled out the mouth wash and label says on it that it’s for oral sores and wounds…I don’t have either of those! So what on earth did I even buy?? Plus I used the toothpaste they made me buy the last time very diligently and obviously it didn’t “help.”This company lies time and time again and inflicts more damage in order to sell a product. They commit fraud with the insurance company and pocket the extra money.I should have been more willing to fight for myself and not fall into their trap but I didn’t want confrontation. Please do yourself a favor and save your teeth. Save your money and do not fall into the same trap that I did. They will lie to you and cheat you out of your money.

I found out at my appointment today that a dentist that no longer works there lied about the health of my teeth and did not clean my teeth properly. Basically wasted my money on previous appointments, was told the condition of my teeth and gums are 10 times worse, and I had to still pay for this appointment. Not sure if this is a money scam or not but I will not spend any more money at this office.

Worst experience of my life. Dr T is a joke. Unprofessional & very inefficient and he claims to be a perfectionist! Not! After complaining several times, he would not even see me. Would send a young girl in and all she would do is grind away the spots I would say were uncomfortable. -10 stars

A month ago I verified the accepted insurance and confirmed prior to making dental appointments for my children and myself. We are a military family. I show up to the facility and provide the DOD beneficiary# as I have for years and in various locations. This office, wants my husband’s social security number. I inform them we are not comfortable providing it due to identity theft issues, the same reason the government implemented the DOD ID, to protect service members. Erica, the office manager spoke to me from her seat ten feet away and told me there is no other way this office can verify our insurance without his social. I told her if they have no other way, then my time was wasted. I do not understand why there are a plethora of medical offices and facilities in RVA who can use the DOD Beneficiary ID and the Aspens Dental office in Chester, VA cannot. So, if you are not comfortable giving out your SSN for insurance verification, avoid this office and their branches if they practice the same policy. Aspen officials, you are more than welcome to contact me to discuss this matter further.

I am a new Patient at Aspen dental and I must say the entire staff is awesome. I would like to give a big thumbs up to Doctor T he pulled 2 of my bottom teeth and I did not feel a thing. He truly cares about his patients and is very professional. I would definitely refer this dental clinic to all of my family and friends,. (Great job)

I was honestly thrown back as a cash paying customer it was a horrible experience this last time when I questioned paying ahead for services not yet rendered. The previous visits with other team members have been great. But this experience with the office manager was outright rude and unprofessional. This experience Makes me uncomfortable that I can't question pricing and billing policies without being looked at like I am speaking a foreign language and have two heads.

Do not become a patient at Aspen Dental. This is not an ethical company. For example, I was charged for a procedure that was not performed. Instead of refunding my money, I had to sue them in Small Claims Court to get my refund. Also, I caught the office manager and other staff telling several me lies. Take your business elsewhere.

I was gonna wait until my whole process was over before completing this review as I am not typically an aggressive person and try to avoid it at all costs. My very first appointment for a full set was February 7th. The process was long and drawn out it seemed as I didn't get my complete full set back until May 3rd that I cant even wear because for the past two weeks I've been trying to get in for an adjustment. I've now left 3 voice-mails in the hopes that I didn't waste over $1000. Not to mention during the process they weren't gentle and the first impression I was left with a terrible tear in the corner of my mouth. Horrible experience here.

I thought I would try them out they tried to tell me I had gingivitis and would not even give me a routine cleaning until I got a gingivitis treatment very expensive....then they said they would have to charge for a cleaning even though my insurance covers this so I went back to my doctor at Chester dental Care Dr Rodrigues got a second opinion found out I have healthy teeth and gums. Would not recommend Aspen I feel like they were just trying to get money out of me unnecessarily

If I could zero stars,I would. My wife and I had appointments and they canceled them, without notification. We then rescheduled, showed up to our appointments and were informed that the doctor was not in. Is it too difficult to call us? Horrible customer service. Don't waste your time at this facility!!!!

Their website brags about "same day denture repairs" - but they ONLY will repair dentures that were made by them.I find that to be misleading and they wasted my time. They should either repair any denture or make that very clear on their website.
