I've really avoided this location and today was my last time in. I was browsing jackets when a lady with black hair who was standing way too close to me started SCREAMING at another lady. I gave her a look and got away as quick as possible.
The last time I went, there were women screaming in the store as well.
I understand this is a thrift store, maybe it's different than working a real retail job, but seriously, the yelling isn't appreciated. I want a peaceful experience. As I'm sure other customers do as well.
Seems like multiple reviewers have had some sort of run in with the same volunteer/employee for MONTHS and clearly it's never been addressed.
Also, the gal at check out didn't speak one single word to me. Again, if you're working in a thrift store, I'd expect a "hello" AT LEAST. Basic customer service.
Absolutely NOT returning.

Put a mattress out on the floor soaked in bleach. Sat down on it to test it out and now my brand new pants and one of my favorite shirts are completely destroyed. It's ridiculous to put a soaking wet mattress out for sale...cmon

I’ve been to the colonial heights location and everyone was nice. This was my first visit to the Chester location and it will be the last. There are about 4-5 females working here that are so loud and off-putting. When we first walked in I literally thought I was witnessing a verbal altercation between two females. No. They were just talking that loud at each other. Ok, whatever, maybe they are in a really good mood. This continued the entire 45 mins I was there. Screaming across the store at each other. Nothing related to the actual job itself though. Other customers noticed as well. I heard someone make a comment to the man behind the counter who basically shrugged and implied this was a common practice. I heard another customer comment to one of the females directly who told her “oh we like to have a good time”. I’m all for enjoying your work day but this was so beyond that. The older woman with the jet black dyed hair and over tanned skin was the worst of them all. They are driving away business and taking directly from the needy they are supposed to be helping. After reading the responses to negative reviews, it’s not surprising I witnessed the behavior I did.

Typically I love this place. I came in today and there was a lady with black hair working there. She was being so rude to the other workers. Screaming at the men in front of customers. I was appalled. Just wanted to bring it to someone’s attention as I thought it was really rude the way she spoke down to them.

I have been thrifting this stor since it was called the rock when pastor g was still preaching crazy and their staff was surprised of people trying to get their lives together fresh out of jail or addicts trying to get help. That is enough right there for me to use them as my go to thrift store have donated things and I have bought more than my fair share of stuff from them. Sometimes they have merchandise that isn't In mid condition but you have to remember they are going on donatiand the money they make goes to a good cause, So I can look past the unsightly random pair of shoes or something I know I think I dress both of my children for their first year and just their clothes alone and then re donated a dumb when they grew out of them it saved me a lot of money, And I know a lot of people go to thrift stores and try to find hidden gems that they can repost on ebay for a lot of Money I personally Don't Know what to look for as far as the hidden gems are but I'm sure there are plenty Here. Especially area rugs and pictures and decorations home décor and like I said kids clothes books you name it they've got it and they've got a special sale for every Is day depending on the sticker color. The staff doesn't wonderful job on keeping it as organized as possible last time I remember I believed that colors were color-coded and organized by gender and if it's dressy origins or nightgowns. I think they do a wonderful job, Keep doing what you're doing and I guess you have to take the bad reviews with the good reviews because there's always that person that is gonna complain like they're shopping in a store where everything is supposed to be brand new when you go in a thrift store you expect to see a few bruises and cuts on the items that's what thrifting is and that's why it's cheaper than going in buying brand new shoes or close very reasonable prices. I worked at the patriots pizza next door for a while and I would always go over there on my lunch break and check out what they had new but it got to where I was in there so much that I had to wait a few weeks until they got some new items in for me to see. Oh yeah and whatever you donate you can get a receipt and it is tax-deductible if that Makes anyone change their mind I'm actually going on quite a few months without making it by there and I'm dying to see what they got going on I would shot there over goodwill any day.

If you like falling apart shoes that should be $1 or less go here and they'll charge $10 to $20. Regenesis is the biggest rip off Thrift store in the tri cities. Both locations price gouge on complete trash. Even items they think are fancy will be priced at or sometimes higher than MSRP or what you could buy it for online. See the pics of the shoes they sell for $10 and up. They'll claim people switch out the stickers lol. They must be pros as they don't appear tampered with in any way.
Edit: As you can see by their reply they as always claim the stickers were switched out. I recommend any customers to go look at the Men's shoe section. You'll find an endless supply of these destroyed shoes. The stickers will be perfectly attached with no signs of tampering. Both stores have shoes like this. Funny how this is their excuse. Never seen so many "swapped" shoes at any other Thrift Store including Goodwill who doesn't put custom pricing on their shoes aka it'd be easier to switch shoes at goodwill but I've never been to a Goodwill and seen so many destroyed shoes. And guess what? Goodwill is also cheaper!
Next time I go here I'll be sure to add more pictures of the disgusting inventory they put out for bizarre prices.

First time here, and I like they are doing. HOWEVER, if someone could tell the woman with jet black dyed hair and faux tan to stop yelling across the store to/at the associates, that would increase the experience significantly. I began questioning what I was doing in this store as the employees hollering back and forth across the store was distracting and made me feel like I shouldn't be there. I almost left a shopping basket full of items and walked out, but I hoped my money would go to a good cause. If you guys need walkie talkies, I will buy them for you....goodness. I would like to say there was a gentleman with a beard who was mainly working in the back but was stocking items on the floor who was extremely helpful, so thank you for that. I felt the prices on most things were fair - I'd say about 80%. I saw a baseball bat with an enormous crack and split down the middle for $19.99. The handle was bent at an almost 45º angle. What? Last I checked, that can never be used again. They also had train sets.....one priced at $199? I looked it up and compared it on eBay. I MIGHT be tempted at $99 but $199 and seeing loose parts in the bottom with no guarantee anything works.....not a chance I am willing to take when I can buy it for that price with a guarantee. All in all - I HATE to sound somewhat negative, BUT if pricing consistency were to improve, and employees stopped yelling across the store like they are across the Alps, it would be awesome. I know so much more about the personal lives of 3 of them female associates than I could EVER care to know just looking around for a short time. Like I said, I like what they are doing here, and I believe in it, but some areas need to be tightened up. I will go back in the coming weeks, and I will update this review should anyone ever read it.

The Regenesis thrift has a great mission and very unique items. Two locations. Go check it out. Prices are great. They love the Lord and helping people in need. They also have food for those in need sometimes. I like to donate to Hannah’s House for moms and babies to stay together.
