Unprofessional and uncaring. Avoid this institution like the plague for all business. Don’t get baited by their “neighbor not a number” crud. All lies

I opened up a checking account with Village Bank. The reason for doing so was because it's the closet bank where I can deposit my money. And because Village Bank is locally owned and operated, I was hoping to support the local economy by trying to deal with local businesses instead of larger national banks such as Wells Fargo, etc. However, in just two short months of being a customer I realized was a big mistake. One day I went into the Village Bank--Chester branch (on Hundred Road) with a payroll check in my hand getting ready to deposit it into my checking account. This whole process should take less than a minute. When I walked in, there was no other customer. There was one teller standing at the counter with a thick Hindhi accent talking on the phone to who I would assume to be a customer. She saw me, but made no acknowledgement of my presence as she continued to talk on the phone. Moments later the branch manager Ms. Vivian Kelly walked out from the vault, greeted me and said "She'll be right with you..." and proceeded to walked behind the counter to serve a customer at the drive through. The Hindhi-accent teller continued to talk on the phone without acknowledging my presence. I stood behind the table and waited patiently with my check in my hand openly to be noticed. I am no stranger to the art of customer service, both from the giving end as well as the receiving end, and know that custom always dictates that the customers who comes into the building first has priority over those who comes afterwards, and especially over those who choose to phone in. After waiting for more than 5 minutes, a gentleman walked into the building with the same purpose as myself... to deposit his check. He cut right in front of me. And this whole time Ms. Kelly was observing this. The Hindhi-accent teller finished her conversation on the phone. Ms. Kelly asked me from behind the teller whether have I been helped or not, which I replied "No." I was totally expecting one of the ladies to say to the gentleman who cut in front of me something along the lines of... ~ Excuse me sir, but let me get HIM taken care of first really quick, since he's been waiting... ~ But to my surprise, she went ahead and served that gentleman first... knowing full well and aware that I've been waiting there for almost 10 minutes. Never I have been so insulted by a customer service establishment--of any type--to such degree in my life.
