I’ve been bringing my children to Centralia Child Development Center for 16 years, and it has truly been like a second home. Both of my daughters started as babies, attended full-time, and graduated from Pre-K here. The staff is caring, patient, and dedicated, creating a safe and nurturing environment where children thrive. I’m so grateful for the love and support they’ve given my family over the years. Highly Recommend!!!

Apparently, if you give them a registration fee ($90) it can’t be refunded even if your child never did a day in the facility. Only registered. They also stated that I needed to give them a two weeks notice. How is that even possible? That lets me know I made the right choice by not putting my child into this daycare.

All 3 of my children have gone here (24, 20, and 6)! Running a childcare center is NOT EASY this day and age - people don’t raise their children and leave it for others to do. And then finding good help - welllllll you know the rest! Mrs Kathy, Mr Johnny, and Ms Jacinda have done amazing with this establishment! I won’t be having any more kids LOL but I always would recommend them.

My 1 year old son went here for 7 days and had 2 head injuries to the point where he had to get stitches above his eye. The owner (Kathy) would not tell me how he got hurt and she kicked us out of the daycare with no explanation. A police report was filed and now there is an investigation. If I were you I would stay away from this place!!!!!

Our grandchildren have been attending Centralia Child Development Center since they were just three months old, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the care and support they have received. As grandparents raising two neurodivergent children, we faced unique challenges, but the staff at [Daycare Name] have been nothing short of exceptional.
From the very beginning, the team worked with us through all seasons, showing incredible patience and dedication. They took the time to understand the particular behaviors that come with each child’s diagnosis, ensuring our grandchildren felt comfortable and supported at all times.
Moreover, Centralia went above and beyond by providing additional resources and guidance, helping us navigate the complexities of raising neurodivergent children. Their unwavering support has made a world of difference in our journey.
We wholeheartedly recommend Centralia to any family seeking a nurturing and understanding environment for their children. The compassion and expertise of the staff have truly been a blessing to us. Thank you, Centralia, for everything you do!

Ms. Cathy has always been rude and unprofessional. My daughter is an adult now but I remember when she went to Centralia Child Care. Ms. Cathy made her sit behind a door and wait for me to pick her up after we had an arguement over the phone about a payment issue. She took it out on my daughter by taking her out of class and making her sit on the floor behind a door until I got there. Very mean and uncaring.

I wanted to inform everyone that the owner of this establishment is very rude and disrespectful. I am a driver and I dropped off one off her employees and because I had to take care of something very important I took a lil break in their parking lot and I’m aware that I was double parked because I did not see harm as the lot was empty and had plenty of spaces for other people. She came outside and told me she know I dropped off one of her employees but she said didn’t need to take up spaces in her parking lot because her parents were complaining to her. I politely told her that I was sorry and her response was to me “don’t do it again” as if I was a repeat offender of sorts. I’m sorry, but I am a whole adult I understand she is elderly but that doesn’t give you the right to talk to me disrespectful because she is the owner of the facility. I am a whole adult and respect is given when you reciprocate the same behavior. You don’t handle or deal someone you don’t know or have and problem with to be rude. If I have to drop anyone else or pick up at this establishment I will kindly decline. After reading the reviews I see that this is just the type of behaviors that was normal for them at their establishment. So no more service will be provided by me to anyone requesting a ride to or from this place ever again. She needs to be more careful and respectful to people whether I’m a customer or not. There is no need to communicate and be rude in the process when I apologized and was polite and respectful to her. She said she is the owner so I guess she feels entitled and has the right to be rude to people because it is here establishment as she informed me when I called the establishment to talk to an owner or director. She is entitled to be can be nasty/rude I guess. Hung up the phone in my ear and told me to have a good day because she owns the business.

As a certified mental health professional and healthcare provider, I am profoundly disturbed by the clear discrimination practices against children with intellectual and developmental disabilities at this daycare. The targeting of children who need additional support and their threatened expulsion due to behaviors intrinsic to their disabilities is not just unethical but possibly unlawful. Moreover, the evident lack of staff knowledge and understanding regarding Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) is equally alarming. It raises significant concerns about the competency and training of the personnel tasked with caring for and nurturing these vulnerable children. Their apparent unpreparedness to effectively work with children with autism is a glaring deficit, which is compounded by the fact that this program is funded by Medicaid – utilizing taxpayer dollars.Every child deserves an environment that is not only safe and supportive but also equipped and knowledgeable in addressing their specific needs. The blatant disregard for the unique challenges and requirements of children with disabilities, and the failure to implement adequate and compassionate care is a stark deviation from these fundamental principles. This warrants immediate attention and rectification to ensure an inclusive, respectful, and nurturing space for every child.

My 1 year old goes to Centraila and I have nothing but amazing things to say about their toddler department. His teacher is amazing , he has severe excema and Ms. Chelsea keeps up with putting his lotion and the creams I provide and goes above and beyond when it comes to the things I ask. When I walk in she’s always working with him and motivating him! He loves it there I have no problem with dropping him off ever!!!! He is eager to see her and ready to start the day. I can tell he is so loved. When I come In the door they greet my children and make them feel so welcome. They send home art and things they do every week so I know they aren’t just babysitting him! I love the care that I’m getting.

This center was fine until my son turned 3. When he turned 3 and got under Tonyas care he started coming home with injury after injury, numerous scratches to his face and neck, awful bite marks to his back, bruises on his belly, only about 10% of which did an adult know about and report to us. When we bring it up they have no idea how it happened. We’ve spoke with the owner many times and no changes seemed to occur. That school is pure chaos. I’ve gotten messages from people that used to work there that all say it is awful and to never bring your kids there. Whatever you do DONT allow these people to care for your children.
