First of all, let me start up by saying that the staff here may literally be the most friendly helpful staff that I’ve ever dealt with any hotel ever. Which says a lot because I travel quite a bit. This place is perfect. The locations just outside of the state park and just a five minute drive away from the NASA launch site. There’s even horses in a paddock right across the street next to the McDonald’s.Rooms for super clean, spacious and comfortable. If I ever pass through again, this will definitely be where I stay.

Location of this hotel could not get any better. It is the last building before chincoteage island. Across he street literally feet away is a pony feeding station.CUSTOMER service is Everything and sets this place far about from all other places. Customer service here is on and beyond GREAT. Maggie was hands down the best staff member I’ve encounterRooms were clean, spacious, and included card table. The gym was clean and they even have a cozy front of hotel sitting area. Margie was the front desk staff and was a big reason to return. To be as kind, engaging, and knowledgeable as she was is hardly seen these days. This is the only place to stay when visiting chincoteague.

We’ve been going/staying here about 10 years for little weekend getaway’s, always been affordable and the staff are absolutely friendly and helpful. Just stayed here for a birthday weekend and they had a card and small bottle of champagne waiting for us in the room with a few snacks also cookies/mm’s. They have remodeled over the timeframe we’ve been going here, the breakfast in the morning is pretty good, coffee 24/7. Absolutely no complaints with this best western, staff go out of their way to make you comfortable! ,

Just spent a night here but what a delight. So great to check in where the staff is truly friendly and you feel genuinely welcomed. We were in our room for just a few moments when Kendryk at the front desk called to say he’d just made fresh coffee. It’s in the lobby if we’d like some. Our room was clean and smelled great. The best part, and a rarity these days was staying somewhere with caring staff that actually cared you were thee!Safety: Quiet, felt secure.Food & drinks: Breakfast, well set up and enjoyable.

Very friendly staff every time we stay. Nice little pool out front, and the king rooms are great. Breakfast is fresh and good assortment of items to choose from. Never dissatisfied.

Check in was fast and courteous. At the start of the walking trail to Assateague Island from Chincoteague. Clean room, exercise room but instead took a walk on path. Nice laundry area. Great view from balcony. Even on main road, it was quiet.

I really wanted to say how very much we enjoyed this place-it always gets good reviews and we booked for the first time coming here based on the google reviews. loving the location! we could hop on the causeway and go over to the park for the sunset. And we could see a little silver of the coast from the balcony - we had with our king room. The rooms were slightly bigger than normal, which made it really airy. Everything was clean and simple. There was chairs and a table, a sofa, and a balcony to enjoy the sunset and the sunrise and the bird calls. We could park out back on an old style gravel parking lot which, for some reason was very comforting to have things the way they used to be. across from the back parking lot is a little park with a barbecue, where you could have a picnic and a neighbor house with a wind chime that greeted evening with delight.all the details were great. It was very sweet to have a bath room with a sink in with a toilet and a second sink right across from the big refrigerator - very handy! there were two luggage racks, quite an unusual and wonderful thing and ice machine that did not make noise all night and keep you awake and a little workout room and stairs if you wanted. All kinds of little old fashion details that I wanted to mention. The only thing missing for me was real milk for my coffee. Pretty small detail. It was great. We will definitely come back.

The establishment is located in a quiet, relaxed island next to the Chincoteague National Wildlife Park. Found it to be clean and well maintained with adequate room ammenities. Staff were friendly and courteous. Good family friendly location and great place to get away from the daily grind. However, the gym needs upgrade.

We had no idea what to expect, but the staff continuously blew us away. They made our stay so wonderful that we did not want to leave!Christa, welcomed us as family from the minute we walked in the door. Laurie was so friendly at breakfast and taught us all about the island and answered all of our questions. We also had the privilege of speaking with 2 different male counterparts of the front desk, and they were so wonderful as well!I also really appreciate that there's always hot coffee ready for us downstairs, along with fixins & creamers. Breakfast was wonderful.and was a great start to our day.You can see ancestors of the wild ponies directly across the street...*bring quarters with you...then you can feed them the corn from the dispenser. You can also see wild ponies out in the marsh. Our room was clean. And also had an adorable balcony with seats. We're looking forward to going back.If you have a bicycle or a scooter, it would be really cute to ride all over the island and if you can't bring one with you, they have them for rent in the local stores.

For a 45 year old hotel it is very clean and comfortable place to stay. The front desk was very friendly and helpful. Cozy outside decks to sit at. As well as outdoor pool and sitting areas. The location is very nice. Literally on the outskirts of the town, it is the last hotel before you get to the road that leads to the beach which is about two miles away. The breakfast is terrific with many options And a McDonalds right across the street is always nice wherever you are. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place to stay in Chincoteague.

Very nice place. The only reason I didn’t give it a five star review is because if you aren’t on the top floor you will hear the people above you.Rooms: Very clean and pretty spacious. Only downside is because it’s an older building, you can hear the people above you.Noteworthy details: Closest hotel to the beach and refuge.
