We are just here in town for the weekend and decided to give this place a try. Let me start off by saying that the service and the food is excellent!!! So much so, that we went back the next day and brought more family with us the second time. Our waitress was named Amy on the first night and Karen on the second night. They were both super sweet and attentive. We had a variety of items off the menu and nothing disappointed. We had calamari, steamed shrimp, and fried clams as appetizers. They fried food was fried to perfection and the steamed shrimp tastes so fresh and are large in size. As entrees, we had prime rib sandwich melt, fish tacos, burgers, fish and chips, and crab cake sandwichs. The hushpuppies were sweet and flavorful. Not over fried. Yum. Yum. Yum. I wish i had taken more photos to show but we were too busy stuffing our faces. I highly recommend this spot.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: Has a wheelchair ramp and wheelchair friendly restrooms.

It is a great little place to grab lunch or dinner. I had the fish basket which included a huge serving of french fries and a large piece of deep fried cod. The fish was a little bit tough but it was still good. Our waitress was amazing! I think her name was Val. She kept our drinks filled and answered any questions we had.Inside of the restaurant was great! The tables and chairs mimicked sitting on a boardwalk. The bar area was set up to look like a fishing boat. The only thing I didn’t care for was the plastic ware. I prefer stability over flimsy when it comes to the utensils. I couldn’t cut up my fish fillet and in the end, I just ate my meal with my fingers. I was too tired and worn out to ask for a metal fork.In the long run, it was a nice place to eat at. I recommend! 8/10Parking: Plenty of spots and fairly reasonable to park close to the building. Mind you, we visited in March and not in the summer which means parking may be a challenge.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp available and the inside is large enough for a wheelchair at a table.

Great time at Captain Zacks, give a 5 ⭐, food was excellent, service outstanding, waitress outstanding job making things right. She went all out for all nine of us. That's a plus in my book. Moms 85th birthday ?. Singing happy birthday was great. O, by the way, head on over for no.1 huspuppys around on the island are anywhere else. Not hard or over cooked like some places. Looking forward going again. Outstanding.

We went there in the 2nd week of Nov in 2023. Considering it is off-season, they were quite a few people dining although they were not crowded. We ordered a blackened fish platter, the shrimp basket, a pizza, and some hushpuppies for the four of us. A lot of food came, relatively quickly after we ordered, and the food was so tasty. The service was very good and the staff were very friendly. Overall, it was a great experience. Will gladly go back there when we visit the area again.

In just a two night stay in Chincoteague, we managed to go to Captain Zack’s Seafood THREE TIMES and quite possibly a few pounds heavier, but totally worth it. We discovered Zack’s on Mother’s Day, and it was packed. We decided to put our name in because there was a two hour wait. Most everything that we ordered was local, and could not have been fresher, including softshell crabs, flounder and shrimp. Did I mention the homemade chips and hand cut fries along with the othersides with Old Bay everywhere??? The individual portions could totally have fed a family of four. Valerie, our server and a Chincoteague native, was warm and friendly, and could not have been moreaccommodating, guiding us to our delectable, selections. Tammy, our hostess, even packed up 75 oysters complete with ice in a cooler that we bought just to bring home some of the sweetest oysters in the world. You too, can gorge yourselves at extremely affordable prices. So happy we decided to wait on that on first visit. THANK YOU!

Enjoyed a fabulously incomparable crab cake sandwich with house made Old Bay Chips, hush puppies, and potato salad accompanied by terrific orange crush for lunch on Sunday afternoon! Crab cake was full of meat! Best meal we have had on the island! And service was genuinely friendly and quick! Is now a definite go to when in Chincoteague! Thank you, Capt. Zack's Seafood! See you again asap!

The food and staff was first class. The silverware is plastic. Everything else is super fresh, even the orange based cocktail was freshly squeezed! Oysters are very good so is the crab steam boats!

Great service and mellow Beach atmosphere! The fried oysters were delicious! I ordered the soft crab which came with 4 (I received 5 because 2 were on the smaller side) lightly fried soft shell crab. I ordered the steamed broccoli and it was a whole tree! Lol it was good though! The green beans definitely came out of a can and were not fresh as advertised. My boyfriend got the crab cakes and they were good, not the best we've ever had but still yummy! We do wish there had been a smaller sampler platter of seafood not fried, might be worth asking the locals and visitors what they think! If you visit the area stop in and say hi to some wonderful people and have some delicious seafood!Parking: Very limited parking. Thankfully it was the off season or we might not have been able to park anywhere close.Kid-friendliness: Plenty of families with young ones came and had a wonderful time. The owner is very friendly and loves seeing the kids!Wheelchair accessibility: It is wheelchair accessible. The front is a little tight for a regular chair.

First time at Capt.Zacks for dinner. So good we went back for lunch. Great menu variety and unique daily specials. Oysters in November..GO for it. Salads and portions plentiful. Went with grilled shrimp tacos and steamed oysters. Enclosed covered seating..so even in the rainy cold it's cozy but open. Clam chowder had hint of spice but not too hot. Service was friendly and very busy on weekend...so plan ahead.Vegetarian options: Salads, lots of veggie sides.

Arrived just after 1PM and were promptly seated. Ordered Cream of Crab soup (excellent, not that thick flour stuff) and fried COD sandwich, lightly coated and cooked perfectly, not greasy. Wife ordered broiled Crab Cake sandwich and she said excellent. Service by Valerie was spot on and checked on us repeatedly as we dined. Went to grab wife's Hush Puppies and she had eaten all of them. Captain Zack's exceeded our expectations. Good job to the cook on this Monday.Parking: Plenty of ParkingWheelchair accessibility: Ramp
