Mail delivery is inconsistent. There are times when I have mail out for delivery , but they don’t bother delivering it. I’ve also had mail to be picked up in the box with the flag raised and they didn’t bother to pick it up, even though they had left mail in the box. Packages are left on steps to the porch rather than on the porch, even when it’s raining. Very frustrating!!!

Although there is another woman who works here that is as kind and knowledgeable in her field, Vicki* Lynch was difficult to communicate with. I was taken aback by her use of aggravated tone, eye rolling, and more on two separate occasions. My sibling and I kindly inquired about a package that tracks to the Clarksville, VA location for one of my mother’s properties, and even offered to take the package off of their hands while submitting a change of address. She became increasingly aggressive over the phone as well. I let her know that I didn’t mean to bother her and wished her a great weekend. However, I will absolutely avoid speaking with Lynch in the future.

DEFUND USPS! Deliver is poor and predictable; 800 number is useless; tracking program is awful. I like FedEx and UPS. We don't need USPS.

I love this historic lake town of Clarksville located by Buggs Island Lake or as some refer to it as Kerr Lake! It's just a few blocks of shops, businesses, and restaurants. Of course I found the little post office tucked away on a side street that serves this community of about 1,200 people. Named after its founder, Clark Royster, this was a tobacco town in the 1800's and is now a popular tourist spot for water and outdoor enthusiasts. The town hosts a Lakefest festival annually which draws a lot of people to this charming town. The first post office here was established in 1819, but now it's modern counterpart post office isn't much to look at. The post office is a plain brick building and doesn't have nearly as much personality as it's surrounding neighbors. Across the street is a darling Victorian house and the Main Street is dotted with cool architecture. Inside the post office was clean and tidy. A huge plus and surprisingly, they have passport services here! There's a greeting card kiosk and plenty of mailing supplies. Hours M-F 9:00-4:30 Saturday 9:00-12:00
