Let me start off by saying, I have never been a fan of Dollar General stores. I have never been in one that was "nice" until I hired into the DG Market located in Clearbrook, Va. This store was placed in a small rural town that needed a local store that could take the weight off it's residents of shopping in bigger towns/cities. The customers that frequent this location range in age. There are young drivers who are eager to make a quick trip 2 miles down the road when their parents need a few last minutes items. Folks stop in on their way home from work to pick up something for dinner almost daily. Our senior citizens in town who dread the highway and trips far away from home also utilize the store due to it's convenience and wide range of items carried.
From the moment you step into this location you are greeted with friendly employees who go out of their way to help you track down anything you may be looking to buy. Don't let "self check-out" deter you from heading up front. You will be met with employees there as well who are ready to help you check out and even load heavier items in your vehicle for you.
If ever there was a hometown feel to a big named store, it will be found here. As you head out, they will thank you for coming, welcome you back and leave you feeling like you made a new friend. Make sure you hang on to your receipt for the day too. Coupons for Saturday are attached along with a short survey you can take to share your opinion of this location followed by a chance to win a gift card for $100 that you surely could put to use at your next visit.

So far so good they’ve had everything we needed pretty much. Including fresh vegetables like cabbage and broccoli and cauliflower lettuce everything. Fresh potatoes and onions and so on. Everyone’s kind and courteous and very helpful.

Love coming to this store as staff is always helpful and smiling. Becky Sue has helped me a couple of times and loved seeing her dress up at Halloween and giving out goodies to the customers ????
