I have taken all of my beloved fur babies to the Animal Clinic of Clifton since 2007. Dr. Bostrom and Dr. Ihrig are both professional, knowledgeable, highly skilled and compassionate veterinarians, and I trust them completely with the care of my all of my fur babies. The entire staff is wonderful and I am thankful to know my fur babies always receive the best of care when they visit.

This review is long overdue, and even though my dog and I moved out of state in the summer, I care so much about Dr. Bostrom, Dr. Ihrig, and the staff at this clinic that I had to come back and leave a public note of thanks.It's clear from the very first visit that the entire staff know and care about animals deeply. I rescued my first pup and brought her to Dr. Bostrom after a disappointing visit with a larger local vet. Not only did Dr. Bostrom take time to assess (over multiple visits and follow up calls) the mysterious issue my young pup was experiencing, she also took time get to know me and my dog and essentially teach me how to care for a dog who may have experienced trauma and is a naturally anxious pup.Similarly, Dr. Ihrig walked me through many visits with patience and kindness. When it was discovered that my dog had cracked multiple teeth, he referred me to a dentist and was available for consult when I received options and was conflicted about my choices. He's answered countless questions with grace to help me become a more responsible and informed pet owner.And I have to give a shoutout to Diane! Over our 6 years at this clinic, Diane has been a warm, kind presence who not only did an exceptional job supporting the clinic, but also took time to get to know me and my dog. She's also the mastermind behind the incredible garden.I've recommended this clinic to all my dog friends - who are still patients - and even though it was a bit of a trek (I lived in Oakton), it was well worth every drive. I hope I can find a practice like this in my new home, even if it's only half as good!

Dr. Bostrom and her staff are exceptional— by far the best veterinarian clinic I have ever utilized! My almost 4 year old Silver Lab and I have been patients of the practice for about 4 years (I have never received anything less than exemplary service in that time). Dr. Bostrom is kind and pays attention to detail. She and her staff go out of their way to ensure my pup has a comfortable and safe experience whenever I bring him in— We love Dr. Bostrom!

Dr. Bostrom is an excellent and compassionate veterinarian. I highly recommend her for your pet care needs. She is very personable, and is very responsive to any questions and concerns. I feel truly blessed that she was able to care for our dog, Barbarossa, for 9 years.

Overpriced and they don't care about your animals. They have zero bedside manner. They have zero empathy and honestly if I would have known the outcome I would have never gone to this place. All their other reviews are by employees so don't trust the 5star rating!!!

Small practice with 3 veterinarians, dogs and cats only, in historic Clifton. I followed my long time vet when she moved from a much larger, more impersonal practice.

our pets have been patients of Dr Ihrig and Dr Bostrum at the Animal Clinic of Clifton for over 8 years now and we feel so fortunate to have such wonderful caring doctors taking care of our animals. During yearly checkups they take their time to answer all of your questions and educate you about animal issues you might ne having healthier. if your pet is sick they will call you at home to check and see how the pet is doing. when our 15 year old Siamese had a thyroid tumor and

Our pets have been patients of Dr. Ihrig and Dr. Bostrom at the Animal Clinic of Clifton for over 8 years now and we feel so fortunate to have such knowledgeable and compassionate doctors taking care of our animals. During yearly checkups they take the time to answer all of your questions and educate you about any issues your pet might be having health wise. If your pet is sick they will call you at home later on to check and see how the animal is doing. When our 15 year old Siamese developed a thyroid tumor and could not tolerate the medication used to treat the condition, Dr. Ihrig researched the other options and costs and got back to us the next day. We opted for radiation treatment at a clinic in Gaithersburg that Dr. Ihrig found and we are happy to say our cat is still going strong at 17! Another time, I was taking care of a diabetic cat for a neighbor and Dr. Bostrom took the time, possibly out of her lunch hour, to teach me how to administer the insulin treatments with a syringe, which I had never done before and was pretty anxious about. She had me practice until I felt comfortable, but just in case I ran into any problems she even gave her cell phone number. Luckily her tutelage was so good I didn't need to call her, but I really appreciated the gesture. We are getting older and sometimes we think about leaving the area for the coast. Our animals are very important to us though, and relationships, such as the one we have with Drs. Ihrig and Bostrom, are what help to hold us here. I'm sure there are many other good doctors out there, but we wouldn't want to take Digger and Bandit any place else.

The vet didn’t respect my opinion about my own dog of almost 9 years. They are refusing to help me end my old dogs life peacefully because his problems are behavioral simply because they aren’t his normal vet. My other dog goes to the same normal vet and it’d be too painful to take my other dog to the normal vet if I put my little man down there, so I researched other vets and I thought this one was a good option until they upset me.

After some negative experiences at other vet offices, it’s such a relief to have found as good a place as this one. I trust that Dr Bostrom knows what’s best for me and my dog. She cares about him personally and makes sure we have the best care possible. So grateful for this office, thanks Dr Bostrom!

Dr. Bostrum and Dr. Ihrig are both very knowledgeable and have an obvious love of animals. They are thorough and you never feel rushed through your appointments. They take the time to answer any questions you may have. I highly recommend Animal Clinic of Clifton.

Dr Bostrom is a great vet. Very good with our dogs. They stagger visits so as to limit the amount of stress for their patients.
