The first experience with Yates Recovery was a cold, rainy night over a year ago when my 17 year old daughter wrecked coming home from cheering a basketball game. She was in a panic, I was in a panic (the first time either of my children had ever wrecked...and her sobbing on the phone had me torn up)! Yates came quickly in the cold rain to tow her totaled car and we were able to go to them the next morning to pay and retrieve her personal items. After that, they were able to dispose of the vehicle for us!
This Saturday night, my vehicle broke down an hour and a half from home. I got a ride home that night and after speaking with my insurance, I realized I had towing included in my policy. I contacted Dakota at 1:15 PM Sunday afternoon, & he was able to finish his lunch with his family, meet me for payment and keys, and have my vehicle back where it needed to be by 9 PM that evening!
This is a small, family owned business who obviously takes pride in their customer care. And you can feel that they dont just do it because its their job, they do it genuinely from their heart as if doing it for the Lord! Fast, friendly, genuine, caring, compassionate, and reasonably priced service, 24/7/365! Highly recommend!!

June 2025--Yates Recovery & Transport took very good care in towing my 2012 GMC Yukon to Coleman's Auto Repair in Grundy, VA, after the starter went out while camping @ beautiful Southern Gap. Yates even offered to reunite me with my truck after the repairs were promptly completed, if unable to get a ride. Thankfully, the shop owner was able to bring the truck to me. I just can't say enough in recommending both companies. Very efficient & friendly service.🙂

What do you not want to see and hear on a Monday morning as you are ready to head to work? The thump thump of a flat tire! What do you want to see….a flatbed from Yates heading your way! I live on an incline and was afraid to use the jack that came with my car. Truck was quick getting to me and the driver (bad manners on me… I did forget to ask his name🙁) was so nice to me and had me up and ready in no time. Wouldn’t hesitate to request and use them if I ever needed them again!

Yates towing really helped us out in a jam. We were camping at the Breaks and our truck broke down on a mountain road. They took us to our camper and took our truck to a repair shop. If you are in the area and need assistance they are the ones to call.

We want to thank Dakota for helping us today in the most stressful panic filled situation ever! We were broke down literally on the road with two kids and 3 adults for hours. We're from out of town and the transmission went out of our vehicle on a mountain road late at night. We called Yates and got fantastic service. They got to our vehicle quickly and had it loaded on the truck real fast. He took us and our vehicle to where we were staying and helped make a plan for getting the vehicle to a repair shop the next day. Very fast courteous service with a fair price.Service: Car towing

I was stranded on the side of the road in Clintwood and not only did Yates towing come and get me the quickest but also didn’t charge a lot. Plus the next few days helped me to get the car from my house down to the mechanic shop. Very decent company and hospitable drivers too.Services: Car towing
