Appomattox Park - Appomattox Greenway offers a pleasant outdoor experience with a variety of activities for visitors. The park features beautiful trails suitable for walking, including paved paths that are stroller-friendly. While some sections may have unpleasant odors and a few wooden bridges need repairs, the park remains a great spot to enjoy nature. Visitors have encountered wildlife, such as deer and groundhogs, and the fishing opportunities are noteworthy, with many locals sharing tips. The park is dog-friendly, although pets must be leashed. There are picnic areas with pavilions and grassy spaces, making it a lovely place for a family outing. However, some reviews suggest that the park could benefit from better accessibility for handicapped visitors and more attention to invasive plants. Overall, Appomattox Park is a nice destination for outdoor enthusiasts looking to fish, hike, or enjoy a picnic.

Beautiful Park. There were a lot of locals fishing and everyone was so friendly. A couple of gentlemen were on a boat and gave my party some tips on where the fish were really biting. Beautiful and peaceful.
