“If you're a member of the legion, don't miss out on visiting Topside! You'll be doing yourself a disservice! The staff is wonderful, the regulars are awesome, and the food is fairly cheap & really tasty!”

“Barbra promptly greeted us when we first got in, she was very polite and professional. She made sure we knew about all the deals of the day which was appreciated! Overall the store was clean and neat, I recommend shopping here!”

“This place is always incredibly clean, staff are amazing, and I always find the coolest fine. If your life is about Thrifting? This is honestly the hidden gem you need to go to. I adore Miss Gail, who is always so kind, the young college kid at the register is always amazing and ms dawn is the kindest. I’ve gone to many Goodwill‘s in my life and this one is my favorite!”

“This Post is the BEST! It is a home away from home for veterans, active duty military and their families. Three healthy meals a day are provided here at reasonable prices with no tax included. Members help in the club room with services, and everyone is open, warm, and friendly. The building has been completely remodeled in the past two years, led by a Commander whose love of the Post family and veterans is paramount. The Auxiliary is equally strong and very active, contributing so much to this Post, and the community. The facility is modern and beautiful! There is no smoking, no vulgarity, and inappropriate behavior is not tolerated. Private and community events are hosted here, many open to the public. All are welcome by this amazing American Legion Family, who puts service to others above all else.”

Until next time!!”

“This historic building is beautiful. There is a pier that you walk down to with a decent amount of steps. The pier does need some work. Some of it is tilted towards the water, so I had to avoid it while walking down the pier. The steps have just had some work done but you can see whoever did the work threw the wooden old steps just in the brush below the new steps and there is a decent amount of trash near the water and pier. They have bands come and play every Sunday during the summer, which is really nice considering this area doesn't have much of that. There is a gift shop here, and they do walk through for the historic part too.”

“This is a hard-scrabble but faithful, faith-filled, community in a town that has seen better days economically. Despite the uncertain times in town, the congregants of Saint James Catholic Church dutifully open their doors and welcome the community and strangers to the table. SJCC represents a relatively traditional Catholic working man's spirit. The folks here get up in the morning, go to work, go home to take care of their families, and remember the blessings that God has given them. Become part of a regular order, come and join Saint James Catholic Church.”

“I absolutely love the Chester YMCA. The people are nice, the place is clean and they offer a lot of good classes. The pool is good and the bathroom facilities are good. This is the only YMCA that I have fun in the classes I take. I have taken classes at the other Y's, but I have the most fun with the people in Chester.”

“6/1/22: My son is a member along with his dad. They decided to go swimming around 9:30 am & the lady at the desk told me that I couldn't go inside the pool area to watch my son because I wasn't a member. I had to remain in the hallway at the table watching them through the glass. He had a lot of fun & they had several school buses of children using the pool today also. It wasn't very crowded even with all those extra kids. Their facility is clean (the front desk area and pool are all I saw). The front desk lady wasn't the friendliest, but I let it go after I saw how much fun my baby was having in the pool. Their hours are weird & they close way too early. So, call them before driving there to make sure they are open. The pool goes to 10 feet too. My son & his dad love it though, so I recommend them.”

“Great store and staff. Unlike Billette’s review I thought the prices were very reasonable and remember every purchase helps people in the community. You’re not just buying an item you’re supporting an organization which does amazing things in the community! So if an item is 50 cents or even a couple dollars higher than maybe you think it should be? So what! SUPPORT GOODWILL!”
