I was just in there the other day... There were 2 cashiers working ~ one was moving the customers along with Efficiency... The other was moving conversations with the customers along for Lengthy Times... My cashier was Jean (spelling ???)... My cashier moved 4-5 customers to the other cashiers 1... My cashier (Jean) was still Polite, Helpful, and Kind... I Appreciate the fact that I was able to get in & out in a Timely Manner ONLY because of MY CASHIER... I feel Training is needed because it's happens to be Christmas time & people want to get to their other destinations... But even if not a Holiday ~ I have Agoraphobia and I'm Very Uncomfortable with the Chattiness ~ some polite talk and ring up my purchases... Moving on to your next customer... Thank You for your time...

The employees at the colonial heights va store are rude disrespectful excuses of human beings. All bc in 2 different shelves it had the dual aussie pack for $12.25 but rang up $14 and they refused to rectify the situation

check the price before going to register. *price gauging* quite a few of the stores have been shut down for it.The District manager is awful. No payroll. no staffing. Has some people work ALONE even close alone. No breaks.Sometimes machine works sometimes it doesn't and the business doesn't care.

Store stay closing early. Went there at 9:30 only for the door to be locked saying the system is down. Not to mention two days before that I heard the reps converting saying, “ they think we supposed to stay open til 10 cause it say that’s the time it close when we want to get off at 10.” Not the 1st time this has happened. Some reps are just lazy. Oh but want to stay on the clock.

Cashiers are very nice. Had to make a emergency run with my grandson in my arms they helped me find what I need it and check out and even held the door open for me

Really clean store. Staff is super friendly & helpful. Plus I think it's great that Family Dollar hired someone who's mentally handicapped to "manage" the store as part of Make A Wish. Just be aware that they might lick you at random times and that it's important to not to freak out when they do.
