Fort Clifton is the best park in Colonial Heights. It is a nice little escape from the city with lots of history. It has it all: trails, fishing, wildlife, shelters, and picnic tables. There is a very nice wrap-around trail through the woods and a small pier great for catching decent-sized catfish. It can be busy on weekends and nice days. Visitors should keep pets on a leash. There are no BBQ pits, but people bring their own.
