Looking for a new stylist ? Definitely book with M.J. ! She was personable and professional. I actually felt good leaving her chair! I booked for a shampoo/ cut. JC Penny, you need more stylists like her. I would highly recommend her for haircuts.

Tyler is the absolute best. He's an amazing colorist and stylest. I not only trust him with my hair, but he does my two little boys as well, and they like him as well. I had my haircut by Ty and he was literally the best. He cut my hair exactly how i wanted and explained what he was doing so i could understand the reasons behind everything (i dont go to the salon very much and i dont know a lot about hair care) and he helped me pick out a product to help with my insane frizziness. Wish i lived in the area so i could be a regular!

I will never go back to the JC Penny's Salon i went there in June on the 8th for a color job, what i have now is HOT MESS, there is no shine, it's brittle, losing my hair in certain areas, i want to cry, all i wanted was a dark brown color applied, i don't know what i got 2 wks after i began to notice to brittle hair, start moisturizing the scalp to see if that would improve it, no luck. I'm just so disappointed, especially the money i had to pay for absolutely NOTHING!!! I can't do anything to my hair until the end of this month to correct this MESS!!! So i would have to look like this in public or wear a WIG until i have this MESS corrected. AGAIN I WILL NEVER EVER GO TO THAT SALON AGAIN. I HOPE THE STYLIST THAT DID THIS MESS TO MY HAIR SEE THIS POST, I WILL NOT BE PETTY AND POST HER NAME BUT I KNOW WHO IT WAS.

Left waiting for over 30 mins with stylist saying that she would be with me and than when asked how long it would be was that. Told she has to leave because of a family emergency. Than was told she was coming to me and never showed up to talked to me and the stylist was Donna. She 40 min ago she was leaving and didn't brother to telling me. .Service: Braids

The last time I went there, Donna put my color on, AND LEFT THE MALL PREMISES! She had me sit under the dryer and a while after it shut off I got up. Other staff were even looking for her. I went outside to smoke and there she is getting out of a vehicle with several other ppl. My hair was screwed up and I will never go back!!!!!

I had an appointment today at 1pm with Elizabeth. She's cut my hair before and done a great job. I called ahead to see if they could take me early - they couldn't - no problem. I show up early, prepared to wait till my appointment. I can hear them laughing and talking in the back, and a little after one I let the girl in the front know I don't really have time to wait, I have to be somewhere at 5pm and need to get home to change beforehand. I overheard Elizabeth telling the front desk girl that my appointment was at 12:30 and I was late. What? Not accurate, I booked it online and can show her the appointment. Anyway, I asked her if she would be able to take me soon, and she said yes, but she had a really nasty attitude. She also was really nasty with the front desk girl as well.I left. Nobody who is nasty to customers deserves to get my business. I have an appointment tomorrow at Ulta.Bottom line: Go here if you're willing to wait to get your hair done on Elizabeth's terms, and put up with her attitude when you ask her to respect your time.Service: Hair colouring

we came in to colonial heights location for a photo session. Ms. Shannon was absolutely fantastic about everything. She made the whole experience super fun and special. we used the session as my bridal portraits and it was amazing!!

This was supposed to be a quick cut. I walked in, asked if they have any opening and a lady was able to get me in right then and there. Before I sat down on her chair, I asked if she can do a layer cut…long layers. “Of course. I can do whatever you want,” she replied. She cut my hair and let me leave with my hair wet. She said she didn’t have time to blow dry. I have never walked out of a salon when my hair still wet!!! Why did I even tip her?! Edith Schenck I want my $$ back. I can’t even wear my hair down

Going into the salon there were two tall displays with 40% signs with the biolage shampoo and other liter hair products and when I made it to the register I was told those were not 40% only the bottom shelf product all the way to the right was the sale item, so asked the girl about the sign and she told me I need to “maybe read it next time” Asked for a manager and there was no one available, they were either stuck on a register, clocking out or on lunch. So lost that sale. T

I went in yesterday, 17 November, for a retwist. I was so disappointed in the end result. You cannot see the parts, its not neat and it looks as if my hair has been retwisted for two weeks already. Money and time down the drain. If something is not your specialty then don’t do it for the money. If I could give it zero stars I would. I would not recommend!
