This is my first time at this location. I was greeted at the door by the reception staff. She was able to assist me in printing a cashier's check that I ordered online. I was in and out. She was friendly. Masks are recommended but not required. Small location as most Navy Federal locations are. Located in a shopping plaza across the street from South Park Mall. Easy access to I-95 and I-295. This location isn't far from Fort Lee. The only con was that the sheriff's deputy or police officer that was supposed to be standing guard was seated and watching a show on his phone. He even had a stand around his neck to hold the phone in place while watching the show. One can NOT stand guard paying attention to their surroundings when watch shows, reading content online, etc. Just saying.

2/13/21: We went to has the ATM. The bank was closed. There are 2 ATMs located in the front of the building & were very easy to use. We were able to use it quickly & be on our way. I can't review this location for anything else at this point. The customer service via telephone is amazing though! I am a new member & haven't had a single issue yet.

Came to the bank on Friday, December 11, 2020 around 2:00pm or so, and they had signs posted that they were closed for the day (the usual close time is 6:00pm). No problem. I completely understand that things happen. I come back on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 12:30pm (a second 25 minute drive for me), and I am told that they are not taking any additional customers for the day. 30 minutes before closing. I told the Assistant Bank Manager, Crystal, that I am just needing a replacement debit card for my deployed husband, and was told no as she locked the door. If the bank closes at 1:00pm, why are you no longer taking customers at 12:30? Crystal then makes an announcement to the rest of the customers standing in line that they do not take any customers after 12:30pm. I called the NFCU Customer Service number, and she said that is not the case, and further, there is no such policy posted (because, you know, if it were posted on Friday, I would made a point to get there early. They have a bunch of things posted. Nothing about an early closure). So, on Monday, I will make my THIRD trip to this bank to get a debit card. I usually bank at the branch in Temecula, CA and have never had this issue. They are welcoming to all of their members, no matter what time you walk in the door. Navy Fed in Colonial Heights, this is absolutely ridiculous. If you are going to close early on a FRIDAY, don't be jerks and the close early the next day. It's bad customer service and bad business.

Awesome usually fast services inside. ATM ok when it works outside. They can replace a bank card in literally 5-10 minutes. Very convenient and fast. I like family and friend promotions $50 referrals, but one year has bad experience. Since the family/friends I referred applied online. Navy could tvfind their applications. I had to complain to the corperate office to get my $50 per referral. They need to do better on the referral program in the future.

My visit was the best experience I've had at a bank in a long time. I typically avoid going inside, especially on a Friday, but I needed to today because I feel you get the best results when you do business face to face. I was in need of a loan. I did not have to wait, at all! Ms. Gilita asked if I'd been helped, and how she could help me. I told her what I needed and she was patient while I got my affairs in order. While the loan was being processed, she was able to help me sign my son up for a savings account, and he and I both got $50. She didn't have to do that. She could have sat quietly and waited for the results of the loan. I would recommend this branch to anybody. I gave them 4 of 5 stars cause nobody is perfect, but my experience there was a great one!

They have the best customer service here. My only issue is that they can have some insane lines both inside and outside at the atm. They move through the lines fairly quickly though.

I deposited a $1000 in cash on 11/18/2015 and called to see if it was in my account . This was deposited at the ATM. WELL it's still not in my account. So I call customer service and they tell me it won't be available until Saturday morning. I deposited it on Wednesday afternoon at 4:30 pm . I also bank with Wells Fargo and any time I deposited cash at ATM it's available right away. This is really sad that a credit union can't even compete with a regular bank . Navy federal get it together or I'm going to a different credit union. Like fort Lee federal credit union. I'm sure my cash will be available right away there also .

This location is always, always busy because if it's location so near the base. The tellers work quickly some days, other days the wait is longer than necessary. They seem to have trouble properly gauging traffic. The customer service is always on point here.

I would not recommend this business. The customer service associate; Cris, and her managers; Crystal and Josh have turned me off of Navy Federal. They are all very unprofessional. Twice I was henpecked over making simple deposits. Clearly, the staff does not comprehend their jobs nor customer service for that matter.
