Royal Farms is a convenience store known for its fried chicken, coffee, and over-21 purchases like cigarettes. Reviews on the food are mixed; some customers find the chicken really good, even better than competitors, while others report getting semi-raw chicken and find it over-priced, noting a single meal for three people cost almost $50. The store is consistently described as always clean, tidy, and well-stocked. Customer service experiences vary widely. Several employees are highlighted as kind, helpful, friendly, efficient, and hard-working, contributing to positive visits. However, other reviews mention rude or lazy cashiers, and note that staff sometimes aren't immediately at the register for age-restricted sales. A specific issue regarding a policy on not selling cartons of cigarettes past 10pm was later addressed by a manager who apologized, stating no such company policy exists. The location is considered convenient for regular visits, but some operational shortcomings are noted. These include coffee machines often not running, bathrooms frequently out of order, and items like large cups being out of stock for extended periods. The rewards program for discounts on behind-the-counter items is also mentioned, though cashiers do not always remind customers to use their card.

The women's bathroom was swampy. All of the trash bins outside of the store were overflowing. The dumpster was overflowing enough to fill a second dumpster. No one was working the front registers, and the self-pay terminals were not working.
