Quaint place with nice vibe but no more apples to pick. I recommend trying all the baked goodies esp the apple brioche.

The only free thing here is the disappointment. No pick your own apples which is very unclear on the website. We were going to have to wait over an hour for hayrides even though we got there before they started because the first two were booked completely by a birthday party. This is the second year we tried going here, and both years were a big bummer.

We were very disappointed by our trip here. After reading their site about what apples were on the trees in October, we thought there would be apple picking. We were told the trees were all picked out. We paid to go on the hay ride which took you by the “pumpkin patch”. We went up a hill and ride by the saddest “pumpkin patch” I’ve ever seen, then circled around some very dead apple trees before returning back to where we started. We paid $8 for a horse ride for our kid, which she enjoyed, but it was a quick ride. The apple cider donuts were cold, very expensive and not good at all. We wanted to love this place but it was not worth the drive for us at all. If you’re looking to sit around a barn, listen to music and drink adult beverages then this may be for you. It was not the kid friendly outing that we were looking for

Not sure where to start! I love this family and how much they have grown the 4/5 years I’ve known the orchard. From the festivals, cider, apples, and familiar faces I see each time … it’s amazing! Best ever is the fresh pressed apple cider that you can’t get any fresher. The fall festivals include apple picking, pumpkin picking, hey rides, music in their new events center, and a cool little pony ride station. While chiles and Carter mountain is close by go to Henleys for the true heart of crozet and cville!!

Great local place where organic matters. Prices are low, parking is abundant and pre-picked offerings are well sorted.

Arrived only to be told the apples were all picked. This would have been a nice piece of info to add to their website. You are then left in this common area with loud music and rocks that are impossible to push a stroller through. We then tried the hayride (which you have to buy a ticket for). During the hayride, you get to see some random pumpkins laying on the ground and all the dead apple trees you thought you were going to pick. They have horse rides for the kids that also requires buying a ticket in a different location. The "ticket system" was not communicated very well so even if the horse ride line is long don't fret as most of the people in front of you will get turned away for not having a ticket. The apple cider donuts are not warmed up and taste like they are from the grocery store. The only good thing about this place is that the music is so loud is that it will drown out your kid crying because they can't pick apples.

So I had really high hopes for this place but it failed to deliver. They advertise their fall weekends as great for kids and such but it is just advertising. The place is not stroller friendly at all as you get stuck all over the rocks in the stroller. Then the bees are everywhere in general and if you try to eat then you spend 3/4 of the time trying to keep them away to no avail which is tough on kids. The "farm animals" are three goats in a small fenced in area which is not what one would expect from the advertising. The hayride is a slow jaunt through a not so nice field with pumpkins randomly thrown in one area and that is only if you can get on the hayride where the guy working it is rude as he has his friends cut the line of people waiting to ride since he has a bit of power. Like I said I had high hopes for this especially with such a longer drive past Carters and Chilies but will know better next time.
