We were planning a trip to Damascus, Virginia to bike the Virginia Creeper Trail. We started by contacting a few of the rental/shuttle places. It was our call to this one, after speaking with Melissa, that we decided to use this company. She was very nice, patient with all of my questions and she just provided exceptional service! The day of our hike our rental experience went just as well. Jake and Carlton were helpful and fun. Our bikes were comfortable and well maintained. The store had a great selection of merchandise. We really enjoyed our experience and day with this company! And I don't want to forget to mention our shuttle driver. He was an excellent driver! We felt very safe and comfortable the whole ride up to the mountain.

Could not have gone smoother. Bike rental was quick. Shuttle ride driver was friendly and helpful. Bikes worked great. Drop off is within 20 feet of the trail when it goes through Damascus. Fun shop to walk around.

Little hectic when we arrived, someone had marked us as having checked in and we hadn't. But they quickly rectified the error and matched my sons and I with a bike and helmet. The lady helping us( I tried my best to remember her name) took the extra time to explain the trail to me once we arrived to Whitetop and ensured we all had one repair kit per group. She was perfect in her role and had plenty of knowledge about the area and trail on the drive up the mtn. Tip: if you are claustrophobic, the back of the van is not for you; little to no air flow. Overall, four stars from me for the experience and price! Will definitely be back!

I love Adventure Damascus Bicycles company. Me and my niece rented bikes from them for the creeper trail ride. Their customer service is excellent fromthe beginning when I called to make the reservation to the fitting of our bikes to their easy check out process. They really take care of their customers, also an extra bonus is that their location is at the end of the trail head so it's super easy to get back to them when you finish your bike ride. The Creeper trail is amazing--- loved it loved it loved it!

Feiendly and good group of people run the shop. The trip up the mountain is in the van and the trip down the mountain is fantastic! Tip: Check your bicycle tire pressure before they put the bike on the cart. My tire pressure was very low and I had to pump it up at the top of the mountain before I went 5 feet.

This was such an amazing trail to ride down and started all with the friendly staff. My fiance and I visited on our way back home to Ohio from North Carolina. We called and they were very nice and accommodating even tho we were arriving near the cut off time. Once we got there we signed up and paid and they set us up with our bikes and we were off. They sized us up for the bikes and ensured the bikes were comfortable for us and even provided a flat tire kit. The loaded up the bikes and took us up the mountain and we had a great time conversing with the driver. I forgot his name but he was great and full of information. He is retired and works just a few days so we got lucky to have him. So the trail is an old rail road track that has been pulled up and paved over . The trail is smooth and full of beautiful nature all around you. It's a very mild decline down the mountain and not too hard at all. Your butt will do most of the work haha. But you pass through the mountain side and follow the river all the way down the mountain. Going through the forest where we saw some deer grazing and then pass through the farms which we got to see a cute cow laying by the river bank and goats on the hill grazing. There's a few shops along the trail that you can stop at for a quick snack or shop for some local goodies. This trail is 17 miles long and you cross over some scenic bridges that are perfect for a little pit stop to enjoy your lunch. There wasn't too much traffic as we went on a Tuesday afternoon but I'm sure on the weekends it can get busy. We saw a few hikers that are hiking the Appalachian trail and you will see some camps setup as well. Might come back just to camp along the river and relax one day. Overall great experience and took us about 2 1/2 hours to complete, your trail ends right at the door of adventure demascus. They greeted us again with a friendly smile and took the bikes to clean up for the next adventures. If you do come back after close, no worries as you can just put the bikes around the corner in the bike racks. Highly recommend this trail for anyone, kids as well as it's not hard at all and full of fun.

I love this place! My husband and I both purchased used mountain bikes here, one before and one after the pandemic, and we always appreciate the friendly and helpful staff. They have great onsite bicycle maintenance services and well-made, reasonably priced bike gear for sale, and this is our favorite place to get a shuttle to Whitetop for the 17-mile ride downhill on the Virginia Creeper Trail. We are definitely repeat customers!

A great experience, I was on the last shuttle at 3:00 p.m., and the only one shuttled up. The shuttle driver was a great guy... And he went above and beyond. I ended up riding about 38 Mi on the Creeper, it was awesome! From now on I'm always using Adventure Damascus!!!

There are so many bike and shuttle shops in Damascus to choose from. I went with this one because someone mentioned the great customer service and how smoothly it ran. And that is exact what we experienced!! No to mention the PERFECT location. The trail ends right at it. They also had good quality bikes and gave each group a little safety kit in case you pop a tire. Thanks for making our first trip to the Virginia Creeper trail perfect. We will be back!

We just rode bikes for 17 miles down the mountain in the torrential rain and it was one of most fun things my family and I have done together. Staff was so friendly and kind. Bikes were sturdy and comfortable. We took the shuttle van to Whitetop Station and splashed through the rain and the puddles the whole way down. When we got back, the staff helped us to hose off! I'm sure it's fun when it's sunny and dry, but I would absolutely do it again in the pouring-down rain. What fun!! Nice selection of keepsakes and T-shirts, plus more serious hiking gear in the shop. Great experience!

We did the trail on Saturday, June 25th. Called on Friday and asked if I could get a reservation for Saturday at 10:30. They booked me and told me to be there 30 minutes early. When we arrived they checked us in promptly and were extremely friendly and helpful. Got us checked in and bike rented in 5 minutes on a busy Saturday morning. Everyone from check-in to guys getting us fitted on the bikes and shuttle to Whitetop dropoff was friendly and helpful and made sure we had a good experience. We had a fun time and enjoyed the many opportunities to stop and view the many wonderful sites along the way. Returned in about 3 hours and returned the bikes. Will use these guys again. Thanks, Adventure Damascus. Ed
