This is the place to get ready for a thru-hike, as they take the time to correctly fit packs and help understand gear. They offer shuttles and have anything you may need for hiking the trails. Lumpy drove my other half and I to Elk Garden to drop off our car, then drove us to Fox Creek where he suggested we start our AT Hike. He was genuinely kind and entertained us with his stories and information of the AT. Anyone in need of a shuttle, Lumpy is your man! We couldn’t have had a better experience :)
