Visted Dulles Town center recently with young family who immediately saw Mind Games and wanted to check it out.
Full of games, toys, puzzles to keep them occupied.
An interesting store to explore.

STOLE from me!
The “attentive” cashier from this place in his infinite wisdom decided that I stole a toy car, that I bought at Black Friday deals (pic attached) for my cousin. Refused to check the cameras (as I requested!) and threatened to call security, in the end I let him have it because it would cost way more than $2 in time.
Who is hiring these guys?

A heaven for nerds. Service is always friendly and quick to offer help/suggestions, with an obvious care and knowledge of product. A massive selection of games and toys for young and old. We love their games and puzzles most. If you're familiar with premium games, you know they come with a premium price tag-- but it's well worth it, IMHO. Store is vast, but has a flowing floor plan and is kept organized and clean. There's always something new to find.

This place make people to sign up for newsletter in order to purchase and when you ask for the corporate number no one knows the number included the manager. What type of manager doesn't know the information of the company they work for. As a company you can no make people to sign for email they don't what to receive.

I go to brick-and-mortar stores for the hands-on experience, service, and readily available expertise.Unfortunately, the staff is not at a level to help with Catan (a staple of the gaming industry). I took the time to drive to the store (even though 'Mind Games' charges more than, say, Amazon) to support this local game shop. I decided to pick up a couple Expansion packs for Catan, to keep the game fresh for my family. But, I mistakenly picked up the "Extension" packs (which look nearly identical to the "Expansion" packs; and, btw, I didn't even see the "Expansion" packs because they were not even next to each other in the store.).Unfortunately, when I spoke with two store reps (about how I wanted to try some new variations of Catan) they only knew to make sure I had the original game. They tried, but ultimately neglected to make sure that I owned the (also necessary) "Expansion" set... which is actually all that I wanted in the first place.Once I got home and tried to play the game, I (finally) found out that there were multiple sets (Full Expansion, 5-6 player Extension, and Expansion-cards-only versions). So, another trip back to the store, I find out that they are unwilling to accept a return so I could get the game I wanted in the first place. Because I was irritated about the whole situation, I gave up on dealing with "Mind Games".Why should I pay $59.99 for a game that I can get delivered to my door for $36.99?Mind Games (2 out 5 stars)+0 star - Store is unwilling to 'make the deal right' (when they should have caught the mistake)+0 star - Reps were not knowledgeable enough+0 star - Price is significantly more+1 star - brick and mortar store+1 star - automatically givenCompared to Amazon (4 out 5 stars)+0 star - Missing the in-person experience+1 star - Easy to search for item+1 star - Price is much better; Returns accepted+1 star - Saves me 1 hour of driving+1 star - automatically given

When first asked the price they said it was $12.99, bought it, came back later, and they said it was over $30. One of the workers I don’t remember, obviously tried to rip us off. We saw the price at other stores and even the original website, it was clearly $12.99 from the start.

As what Justin said “ However, they've put a fox in the hen house so to say, by allowing a guy pretending to be a woman to work in a toy store. “ this wanna be emo transformer employee put all the items back on the very top shelf as I was still comparing which box was the best. And then “it” left in a rush, instead of asking is there anything else I could help with?” Later the guy/woman got angry and ran its mouth like a muppet being delusional saying instead of reaching the items on the very top I could’ve asked but no this guy/woman wanted to make a scene and yell about how I’m damaging the items but literally majority of there inventory is already damaged what good does it make putting the blame on someone else when your inventory is already damaged. I respect store products and employees but this transformer/guy/women/whatever it is was crazy and could’ve asked nicely. Instead of being delusional straight up. Poor customer service and communication. This store has been changing management and employees constantly. Respect to every employee except the weird skirt guy he/it has to be delusional

They have a decent selection of games, posters, and other stuff. However, they've put a fox in the hen house so to say, by allowing a guy pretending to be a woman to work in a toy store. Guess they don't care about children. Get rid of that thing and maybe we will come back.
