Racism at the Montclair dollar tree.
Today I waited 20 minutes for the dollar tree at Montclair to open, just to get one of the most disrespectful experiences.
I went to get nose drops and napkins, previously I have been overcharged in two occasions by Patricia a white heavy set older lady with glasses, I had not come back to claim reimbursement from home for a 1.25 but today when I saw I had a feeling that she was going to do it again, I had a cuddy 24 unit nose drops but two were missing so that is 22, I counted myself.
She not only made me wait, I think I was the first customer, because she was talking to another lady coworker but she came and counted and said that's 23 unit, I told her it was 22, she recount and I mentioned not to overcharge me again, she said curtly that she never had overcharged me, I said that she had, she said no no no, I I repeat that she had , she blew on me with such hate and anger yelling at me to get out that she didn't have to sell me anything, all that in front of her other three coworkers, none said anything until I asked for a manager, a young man came and apologized, and counted the items correctly. While she made me wait to pay she was talking bad about the previous manager who was always very welcoming to me and my grandkids, unfortunately she is not there anymore.. but my question is did she treat me like garbage because I am Hispanic and she is white? I know when I am being discriminated and that's how it felt today..

They have a lot more stuff than usual. I'm finding more things that I can get at a better price. They have kind of turned into a semi five below. And they have a price checker.

honestly the worst dollar tree I've been to. the customer service was ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE, and when me and my aunt were trying to return something they kept mumbling stuff back and forth so obviously we spoke in our language to each other and these people started saying in our FACES IF SOMETHING WAS FUNNYYYY?!?!

Typically stocked well but unfortunately not this time.. This store I believe needs way better management that somewhat cares??... Adults/Kids Walking in With Open Backpacks obviously Stealing merch.. no one stopping themNo wonder nothing is on the shelves!!SMH

My 1st time visiting this $Tree. Main reason was two get some puzzle books that a elderly friend wanted. They had 0!!I looked for over 30mfinally found books, but there were just a few kids books .Well, I needed to use their the restroom and was appalled to see how filthy it was!The only GOOD part is that they had a good selection of DIY craft items. Its the only reason they got 1 star!!

This location is grossly understaffed. I've only been to this location about 2 dozen times. It is always in disarray. I've never seen more than 1 register open at a time no matter how many custoers are in line. Ive walked out a few times becase of this. There's always merchandise all over the floor and employees seem to be blind to how trashy this place looks. Of all the Dollar Tree's I've been to, this only is the worst looking. You would think since it's relatively smaller that a lot of their other stores it would be kept to look presentable. I was there about noon on Oct 6, 2022 and there was a pile of close on a bottom shelf that had fallen onto the floor, the next isle was a couple things on the floor. A young man that works there just walked right past all of this as if it wasn't there as he was looking at his phone. I will say that the young lady working the register was polite and professional. She asked me how I was today and thanked me as I left. Normally the cashiers here are rude and say nothing but how much your total is.This tells me there is a huge management issue at this location.I hope corporate reads these reviews.
