Visited this hidden gem this weekend. I have heard about this spot for a while, but I just never tried until now. This is a nice spot that is off the beaten path away from the hustle and bustling of PWC. It's a nice vibe, for sure. The food and drinks were pretty decent. I definitely plan on returning. The one catch is that tips are automatically charged on your bill. I didn't realize that at first. It's not that big of an issue. I just wish they would disclose that info up front.

We had brunch here. I was celebrating an early birthday get together. The food was decent overall. I would recommend the establishment use better plates and utensils for the buffet not plastic ware. I paid over $600 and the plastic ware is not acceptable. I enjoyed the pineapple mimosa in a champagne glass!

A wonderful place to golf ⛳️ . The personal are super helpful and kind. I attended a Charity event Patriots 4 Families Annual Golf Tournament. Very well run and I even had an opportunity to to meet the Mayor of Dumfries Virginia. Many thanks to the Hardnick Family Founders. See you next year ... 2025. I'm a Patriot 4 Life.

First, this is a great course. Good condition, challenging, and has a ton to offer. However, if you stack tee times so close together to maximize profit (which I’m not against) you need to have a ranger enforcing strict pace of play. We had a 3:10 tee time. At 7:10, as darkness approached, we had to leave on the 14th hole because it was so backed up. This is the third time this has happened. Unfortunately, I probably won’t come back unless it’s a middle-of-the-weekday type round. It’s simply not enjoyable to not get the full round in that you paid for and having to wait 15 minutes on each tee box.

The golf course is great. However, I do NOT recommend Tidewater/clubhouse for brunch. The clubhouse/Tidewater for brunch should be considered a disaster zone. When my wife and I arrived, we were told to sit anywhere and that they would bring us menus; there was one other party inside the clubhouse and a group of golfers on the patio. However, the hostess nor our waitress gave us silverware. Mind you everyone else had silverware; we were expected to use plastic utensils at the buffet. Which brings me to the next issue. Online, Tidewater advertises a brunch menu. However, in person we were told that they have done away with the menu and the buffet was the only dining option. It should be noted, the golfers outside were served pizzas. Issues 3 & 4; none of the staff were monitoring the buffet. The food in the buffet had clearly been sitting for hours and was down to the last few morsels. Additionally, there was a dead moth on a small plate with a serving utensil. Another party arrived and noticed as well and asked for the plate to be removed; no apologies were given. This additional party also received real silverware. Issue 5: a 20% gratuity was added to the bill without option; normally I wouldn’t mind this if the service was good. Final issue, the cost for this experience was $25 per person. The price of the buffet wasn’t posted in easy to read location or mentioned by the staff. The fact that the buffet was our only option was only mentioned after our drinks were brought out. Avoid at all costs unless you don’t mind insects on serving plates and or eating with plastic utensils.

$140 tee times..? Absurd - Acting like they’re a TPC course with this dynamic pricing

Typically a course in good condition. Much better than those around us. So while a bit more in cost it's worth it given the range is included.

Course is decent.
- Ice machines consistently broken/ not working.
-Weekend beverage only see see once maybe a round.
- brush is high in front of tee boxes
- hand soap in the 13th bathroom was empty and had to be refilled by a frequent player
- bathroom has had exposed sheetrock for the past four years.
- course management has done a great job to keep the course looking pretty good.
- management never responded to a safety concern brought up by a guest after being told they would reach out.

Course is in great shape. But no food or drinks on course except at clubhouse. If you play early, no one is there to buy food for course. Some water but no ice. Very slow play. Other courses in DMV have better amenities for price. Save yourself the headache

Potomac Shores Golf Club is an absolute gem! My recent round there was nothing short of amazing. The course is beautifully designed, offering stunning views at every turn. It's both a visual treat and a true test of golfing skills, with challenging holes that keep you on your toes.
The fairways are immaculate, and the greens are pristine, making for a top-notch golfing experience. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, adding to the overall enjoyment of the day. Whether you’re a seasoned golfer or just looking to enjoy a beautiful day out on the course, Potomac Shores Golf Club is the place to be. Highly recommended!

First 13 holes were great. We left at hole 14 because it was backed up and it had already taken 4.5 hours to play 13 holes!!! There was a knowledgeable starter at the first hole but no ranger on the course maintaining a halfway decent pace of play. Course is very nice and challenging but it should not take 6+ hours to play a round of golf. Course needs really needs a ranger. I would, however, go back at least to see what the last 4 holes, which I never played, looked like. !

Beautiful Jack Nicklaus course. Great use of elevation changes. You can’t see the Potomac but you are close to it.

The course design is stunning, but the customer service and management fall short in addressing issues. Our visit days after rainfall revealed significant damage to the fairways, rendering this once-beautiful course unenjoyable almost unplayable from your approach shots. The manager offered excuses instead of appropriate compensation for their team's poor decisions in driving the tractors across the fairways. We played it after driving over an hour to get there. Rainchecks, discounts on your next round. Ive played the course before and i wanted my three guest to experince what i had experienced. When the course is in grest shape its one of the best in the area.
