“The rooms were in excellent condition and the location couldn't have been more convenient for our needs. Most of the employees were very friendly, but one of the morning front desk employees just always had a scowl and gave the impression that she really didn't like her job. We were also skipped by housekeeping one day which wasn't a big deal but was disappointing.
Overall, it was a good experience and we'll be back.”

“Stayed for just a night - located right near all the shopping and 95. The rooms were clean, beds comfy and showers had good water pressure.
We tried the hot tub out… it was more like lukewarm tub and the water was murky. We turned on the bubbles and it got colder and more murky. I think the staff need to fix that.
Otherwise overall pleasant stay!”

“The hotel isn’t exactly modern or newly updated, but it has everything you need for a comfortable stay. They offer complimentary breakfast and a social hour from Monday to Wednesday evenings, which includes free light alcoholic drinks and food that could easily serve as dinner. There’s also a gym, self-service laundry, and a pool.
I never saw anyone using the pool during my stay, which was actually a plus—it means you can enjoy it without crowds. I also appreciated the convenience of having a 7-Eleven right next door. Since my husband and I were sharing one car during our move, it was nice to be able to walk over and grab essentials when I was without transportation for the day.
My only real complaint is the housekeeping. A card was left in our room indicating it had been cleaned, but the trash hadn’t been emptied and the bed was still unmade. When I asked the front desk to send someone, I was told housekeeping wasn’t available over the weekend.
One other issue was the room layout. The head of the bed was directly adjacent to the bathroom door, and the bathroom didn't seem to have a working vent, so odors lingered longer than expected.
Despite those drawbacks, I would still recommend this hotel overall—it’s practical, well-located, and offers good value for what you get.”

“My daughter who is 6.5 has been attending GW for 1 year now and has advanced tremendously, from doing splits and standing bridges to even competing. She literally had 0 background or athletics experience. She feels cared for from the coaches and has made good friends in her group. Overall we love our experience and will highly recommend.”

“CLEAN!!! You can’t get closer to Carowinds than this! Great rates, breakfast was exactly what you’d expect, the pool was quite small so in the evening when lots of people/kids were there it felt tiny, hardly any move to room without bumping into others. Will definitely stay whenever we come to Carowinds.”

“Outstanding layout, beautiful scenery and challenging shots on every hole. I played the Silver tee boxes and was very impressed with the efforts needed to score. Fairways are cut perfectly, greens (even though told they had been punched) rolled smooth and true. I would play here again without hesitation. The greens fees were more than fair for a mid week tee time ($79). I live in Florida and play on similar courses in yardage but never experience the sheer beauty as Potomac Shores. Try this course out and absorb the beauty and challenge, you’ll not be disappointed.”
