I've tried 2 other Gold's gyms this week and I'm so happy this is my home gym. The staff are friendly and the machines are great.

Great gym! Good atmosphere. Equipment in good shape and new equipment being added since joining. Best Gold’s in the area!

The gym it’s self is great. I’ve been going there for over 10 years. However I was injured by a trainer GREG at the fairfax station location. He is careless and kept forgetting why I hired him, which was to help me continue healing from my planters fasciitis. I’ve had trainers before and this was a joke. Now I’m injured even worse with knee and lower back pain and I’m in PT again and it’s all due to his carelessness and lack of knowledge…. GREG shouldn’t be training people at all!!

This is not a gym with good customer service. I love Gold’s and am a member of the one in Culpeper. I frequently visit my folks in Fairfax and was hoping to work out at this Golds. I was greeted by a nice young man who was working the front desk and told him I was hoping to work out there for the day and told him that I have a membership in culpeper. He asked his manger if that would be okay and she said and I quote “no, absolutely not. If you want to work out you have to purchase a day pass for 20 bucks” I called my gym and they told me to ask about a “travel pass”. I asked these two again and the manager said I need to see a physical copy. I said “can you just verify my status on the phone and let me workout today?” To which they replied no… the young man was polite but the manager was rude and put the young man in an awkward position in dealing with an uncomfortable encounter. Ridiculous and typical NOVA

Great location and plenty of equipment. It's the perfect distance from home and work. My only quibble is that there are no ceiling fans over the treadmill section; so it can get pretty hot during the humid summer months - - even with the AC running.

Came home to visit. Hadn’t been here since high school. Same dirty, old equipment from 15 years ago, dirty bathrooms and weights left on the floor and not put back. Gym floor dusty and the cardio machine I used was full of dried up spilled drink. Depressing gloomy atmosphere. Plenty of other gyms to choose from nearby.

I’ve been a member of this gym since 2013. It used to have a packed class schedule with at least 3 different, highly certified yoga / movement instructors, low fees, excellent management, and a cardio cinema that members adored. While staff are still wonderful and friendly, since the pandemic management has been an unmitigated cluster. Fees have gone up more times than I can count and few of the amenities discontinued due to public health restrictions have ever fully returned. No cardio cinema, pathetic class schedule, no significant investment in either the facility or the equipment (HVAC in the main studio broke sometime in December/January and stayed broken ~6 mos), and no evidence of a plan to return the location to its former high standard of operation.Again, fantastic desk staff, and the members are super chill and diverse. However, it feels like I keep giving this place more money for fewer amenities, and my loyalty can only take so much abuse.

I have been going to the Gold Gym for 2 years. Everything was fine before this couple of months. First, one time I was going to work out but they ask me for an ID I'm a teenager I don't carry any type of ID, and they were not allowing me in. I had to argue with them because they have never done this before. Also, customer service is unwelcome. Plus, I tried to talk to the manager because I'm not comfortable talking to the worker, and the manager didn't want to talk to me. Additionally, they charge me a $20 late fee because my card was declined when it was only 3 days late. I didn't know my card was declined they didn't send me any emails or messages. I ask how much time it has to pass to charge me a late fee and they said "It automatically charges you $20 when the card is declined"... What type of late fee is this? Gold Gym has decent equipment but $50 per month is not worth it.

The gym is good size, has a great variety of equipment, and clean bathrooms. It does not have a swimming pool like other locations and early morning (0500-0700) classes are limited, in my opinion. However, the gym itself, the equipment (most, if not all, of it well-maintained), and staff are all great here. Also, not super crowded, even on peak hours, which allows you to get a good workout in.

Gold's will take ur new membership and then close the gym and STILL charge you over $100s to quit. But their doors closed almost immediately. Bait and switch business, I've filed with BBB.

I went here for many years. Lots of very serious weight lifters come to this location. They are courteous, so it’s not a problem so much as a spectacle to behold. Good classes. I used to do Spin with my wife before the class ended due to COVID panic. The price was low for what you get. They clean the gym regularly. Equipment was always in good order. A couple of machines always needed love, but there are plenty, so it’s never an issue.

I'll start by saying the staff is very friendly. They have always been GREAT. The reason I'm giving 1 star is bc of the inconsistency in member benefits/amenities and what seems to be poor management. When you pay money for a monthly membership that is supposed to include classes and then an extra $40 per month for kids club, you expect the classes to happen per the schedule and for kids club to be open during posted hours. For kids club, I take 2 kids about 1x per week. Since fall, it is frequently closed when someone doesn't show up. Nobody ever offered a credit for the service that was supposed to be provided. Recently, it has become ridiculous. Of the past 4 times I have brought my kids in this past month, it was closed 3 times during posted hours. The regional manager happened to be there today and said I "should understand bc I'm a small business owner". Let me tell you, there is NO WAY this is ok in my business-- Paying members expect you to be open during posted hours, period. I'm not sure what is going on, but I get the sense it is being very poorly managed. The class schedule has also been hit or miss since fall. They cant keep instructors, scheduled classes are sometimes not even held. It is all just very frustrating and I wish there was another gym as convenient to my house so I could switch.
