Employees are generally nice. However, this particular visit no one came by to assist and open a fitting room for me. It's been 10-15 minutes and counting.Update: 20-25 minutes and counting. Went to an employee at the register to ask for someone to help but no one still came by after asking.

The staff at this store were very friendly and welcoming. I had a return and ended up leaving with more items than returning. I was assisted by Sheyla and Vrisheeka. Sheyla knew exactly what jeans would fit me and styles I needed. Her customer service was beyond my expectations as well as Vrisheeka at the register. I had a birthday coupon and I didn't know until she asked me if I would like to use it on my purchase. She was so kind and patient at the register. I will definitely be returning to this location.

I was immediately assisted by Anna when I entered the AE store. She didn’t mind my clumsiness in dropping clothes and looked for a denim skirt in a size I needed in their stockroom. When I asked her if the denim jeans I selected were on sale, she said they were not but that she could give them to me at the website price if they were at a lower price. They were. She saw that I got my military discount and my AE reward points on my purchase. Very great experience and customer service.

The fair oaks mall store is the worst. The staff is cold and unwelcoming. There’s never anyone to let you into the dressing rooms, and god forbid you ask. When checking out today, I tried asking the sales associate about current sweater promotions. He flatly told me no. I’ll be shopping online from now on. Too bad. The sad thing is, I always go when they aren’t busy… yet it’s still inconvenient to be helped… annoying.

I had the worst experience at AE today. I went in with a return of a purchase I bought online. I had the print out of the invoice for the return as I followed directions on how to return this item. I had the item washed it and tried it on and didn’t like how it looked. I never wore it or anything and it looked brand new when going to return it.I go to the front desk and the girl helping was cold and not friendly and she took my invoice and then said she can’t return it with out the tags. I looked online and the in store policy said returns can be made without tags as long as the item is not damaged and an invoice is provided. I explained this to the manger and she refused to return the item after I just shared the policy with her. She got snippy with me and said that she considered it damaged because it was washed. I asked for her name and she said it was Sheila. I called customer service and they returned the item for me and let me know that I was right and she should have returned the item. I was very taken aback by my experience.

This store is extremely discriminatory and refused to give me the contact information for the general manager. Please don’t waste your time or money shopping here as you can get better customer service from other locations.

Always meet very friendly people in the shop. I was able to change size from online order easily.

Insulting and disrespectful store manager. I called the online customer service while in the store and they were able to help me and instruct her to assist me after she called me rude and refused to help me.

I like American Eagle- the quality is nice and prices are fair. I wish the store carried more curvy fit and items that come in long (maybe there just isn't enough demand for women's pants in long for them to carry any in the store?). Unfortunately though the staff isn't kind or helpful. On my most recent visit two employees were chatting with each other and stood in the middle of the store blocking the way of customers. Neither of them moved to get out of the way or greeted customers.

I love their jeans, but why does this specific store smell so bad? I can’t even shop there anymore because of whatever that awful stench is. I can’t tell if there’s a gas leak or if it’s some signature scent that they spray everywhere. Whatever it is, please tone it down because it’s driving customers away

I ordered a scarf for a friend. The confirmation email said it would be ready for pickup from Aerie on Wednesday the 9th. On the 8th I saw that had received an email telling me the item was ready for pick up and would be held until the 9th. I arrived to Aerie the evening of the 9th and I was told that the item was at American Eagle. I shrugged and walked over to American Eagle. The clerk at AE told me that the item had been canceled because it wasn't picked up. That made me pretty upset because it was still Wednesday. The manager came out and told me the same thing, but could/would not give me a straight answer as to why it was canceled. I was very angry, but I remained as calm as I could. Then the manager began to get indignant with me, saying that I was yelling at her. I was not yelling, though I wanted to yell at her now more than before. Fortunately the item had not yet been shipped back and I was still able pick it up after she went looking for it. What kind of business cancels a pickup the day of, and tells the upset customer to stop yelling when I was not? The management of this store is rude and incompetent.

Love love love this location! Everyone that works here is always so nice and they have my sizes consistently. Sometimes I go to the Tysons Location, which is a bit bigger, but this one is my favorite!
