Best Western Fairfax is a well-maintained and comfortable hotel that offers good value for the money. The property features a beautiful pool area and a large, spacious breakfast room with a friendly hostess, making breakfast a pleasant experience. The rooms are clean, functional, and well-kept, with updated amenities such as a good shower, a fridge with a freezer, and a heat lamp in the bathroom. While some rooms are a bit dated and may require updates, they are generally comfortable and offer basic, convenient features for guests. The hotel’s location is excellent, just off Route 66, providing easy access to Washington, D.C., about a 30-35 minute drive, making it a convenient choice for exploring the city without high downtown prices. The staff at Best Western Fairfax are exceptionally polite, helpful, and knowledgeable, contributing to a positive stay. The front desk clerk was especially praised for her excellent customer service. Breakfast is basic but good, with a large, well-organized area and a helpful hostess. The hotel has some limitations, such as no elevators and outside room doors, which may be challenging for guests with mobility issues. Housekeeping staff speak Spanish, and some maintenance issues like parking lot cleanliness and room updates were noted. Guests appreciated the quiet, established atmosphere and the welcoming lobby, although some found the room decor a bit dated. Overall, Best Western Fairfax offers a clean, comfortable, and convenient stay with friendly service, making it a solid choice for travelers visiting the area.
