The units 10X15 is less that what I’m paying now .so you know who's behind these words. As a single mother juggling college expenses for my kids in these challenging times, I have some insights to share about the salon equipment I've stored. Let me reveal parts of the contract that illustrate how important it is to read the fine print; they cleverly state the fees can change occasionally. Imagine my shock when my bill escalated from $223.99 to $301 in just three months — all by my July birthday! Initially, I paid $204 with insurance, and though the contract summary mentioned variable fees, the larger contract promised a 30-day notice before any changes. The real kicker? They’re now offering the same unit for less online, and an even bigger 20x20 space for just $272, while I'm shelling out $301.
They are aware that most people can't afford the hassle and cost of moving since this is the affluent area of Virginia. These marketing tactics feel like a bait-and-switch; they boast about providing the best experience, yet after reaching out to management twice without success, I've had to escalate the situation a third time.
The sales team ought to be upfront about the fact that they can hike fees at will, despite my signature on a contract for $204 monthly. In Maryland, I've been a loyal Public Storage customer for over 20 years, but customer service has really declined here in Virginia.
Now, with plans to coordinate with family and friends, I'll either relocate or sell my belongings. Over four months, I've spent more than $1200 and for what? I was fine with a $200-something bill, not $301. It's a case of deceptive advertising and poor customer service. They’ve trapped others by not updating online prices promptly. Make sure to scrutinize the fine print—they will raise prices on you quicker than you'd expect. I've given them ample time to resolve the issue, but unfortunately, they haven't.

Very happy with the size and cost of my unit. The staff is friendly & very professional. The facility is always clean. The location is great. I wished the gate access stayed open later than 9:00 p.m. Highly recommended.

Ellroy was a great at customer service, he answered all questions and even broke them down when things were still unclear. Love public storage and their ability to accommodate well for their customers. Highly recommend especially if you’re an international student needing a storage unit.
