I had Initially left a pretty brutal review of my experience at Great Clips in Fairfax, and while yes, my haircut wasn't great and the timing wasn't ideal either, the customer service and treatment from the management was top notch. the owner of the location PERSONALLY reached out to me and was very apologetic, while offering everything he could to make things right! ended up having a 10 minute talk with him, and while the haircut I received wasn't what I was looking for, I think its important to remember that one stylists mistakes doesn't mean the others, or the owner are bad at what they do. Extremely impressed with how this has been handled, and honestly don't think 9/10 other hair dressers would take the time to right the mistake. will definitely be giving them another shot.

I have never left a business review in my life, but I just received the worst haircut I’ve ever gotten yesterday. I told the guy that cut my hair that I wanted long layers basically just making sure the ends weren’t blunt, and he did very dramatic layering that doesn’t even look even or consistent. The front also looks terrible and he took way too much hair away for face framing on one side vs the other. He didn’t really understand what I wanted at all and I’ve never had anyone else do my hair where I tell them the same thing and get such a dramatically different result. He was using a technique of sectioning my hair that I’ve never had any hairdresser do before, it’s like he had no official training. Luckily my hair is just long enough that I can put it up because I’ll likely be wearing my hair up for the next couple of months until I can get another trim. It’s so short now that I can’t even really correct it somewhere else without going way too short, so now I just have to wait it out.

I had my haircut on 7/24/2024. It was very unprofessional looking. Asked for a specific amount off and barely 1 to 1/2 inch was taken off in the matter of 45 mins to an hour. It took forever. It was the least experienced hairstylist I’ve ever had. I’m 20, I never leave bad reviews, this was a bad haircut, and I think people need to know. They refused to give me another redo hair cut a week and a half after because it was more than 7 days. Wasn’t able to come back until recently due to my lack of free time. I tried explaining that and they still didn’t budge. Don’t go here, there are plenty of better places around.

DO NOT get a haircut here under any circumstance. I get a very general, easy hair style for a guy. High fade, a little off the top. The barber hacked up my hair so none of it is the same length, I have razor burn all over the back of my head, and he brought the taper half way up the back of my head so that it looks horrible. I have to go somewhere else to get a buzz cut because of how badly they did.

Came in today and the lady who helped me out was very attentive and helpful. They have a $7.99 per haircut sale and she did a great job. The only difficult thing was making sure she understood what I wanted.

One of the worst great clips experiences. The lady seemed to be in a rush because it was close to the closing time & more customers were waiting & didn’t do a proper haircut even though instructions are saved in my great clips account which she could see.

Felt like he didn't know how to cut women's hair. Would not cut my hair as short as I wanted it to be. I am post-partum and I finally had an hour to myself from my twins or work, so I ran over to get my hair cut for the first time in 18 months. My hair is a disaster from being post-partum, so I just wanted it gone. That didn't happen. Also wasn't going to cut the front of my hair either. Disappointed, but you get what you pay for, I guess. I will need to go get my hair cut again to cut it to the length I need to remove the unhealthy part.Service: Haircut

The workers were extremely nice, but you definitely get what you pay for: cheap/unprofessional. My haircut looked nothing like the pictures I presented and too much was taken off therefore being impossible to style as the pictures at home. Hair will always grow back & that is not a problem, but spending 15 minutes chopping hair off with little to no skill will always result in lackluster confidence afterwards. It seems my sentiments are shared among others, but again, you get what you pay for so if you aren't tight on money I'd suggest going to either a professional salon or another location.Service: Haircut
