If you love noise and prefer to not sleep, move to Halstead Square. I not only heard every step my upstairs neighbor took but also apartment entry doors do not have closers and people constantly slam as they come and go at all times of the day. I saw dogs pee on the main corridor carpets and no clean up followed. They claim to be a luxury apartment community but the reality is the buildings are one step above a dorm. Actually, my college dorm was quieter.

Love this place! Everyone is super nice and helpful. There’s plenty to do within walking distance, and everything is very dog friendly.

Overall just a lovely experience! The staff & the residents have all been wonderful to work with! I have been a vendor with this location for a few years teaching weekly yoga classes and occasional special resident appreciation events. We have the best time and a robust community of yogis! Meeting in either the basketball court or the outside courtyard. The amenities are top notch. Truly luxury in all of the ways!

I'm conflicted in how to tell my story of Halstead Square--there were a lot of great points and some significant bad points. My experience was probably 3-stars, but I can see others having 4-5-star experiences so it's worth consideration.I lived there for ~4 years in a 1-BR and 2-BR apartment at different times. There is a lot good about Halstead Square: the room layouts, the location, the finishings, the concierge, the maintenance staff, the amenities (with weird exceptions like the theater that I was told could only show movies pre-loaded by Halstead.) After moving out, I miss the high ceilings and design of the Lofts room I had as well as the basketball court and good gym.The main downside was the noise I experienced. If you are sensitive to noise, you probably want to look elsewhere or at least 1) get an apartment on the top floor and 2) stay away from the dog park. In my second apartment, I was bothered daily by repeated (very loud) dog barks, stomping of upstairs neighbors, and music played by my neighbors. I left these apartments feeling much more sensitive to noise than when I arrived. This problem I only had in my second apartment and wasn't an issue for the first several years.I also had a disagreement with the leasing staff over move-out costs, as they wanted me to pay for damages to blinds that seemed absurd to me. Looking at the pictures provided, the blinds appeared very normal to me, potentially with very minor wear and tear. After some back-and-forth with the leasing staff, they removed the charges, which was a positive end to the story. So in total, I think I'd recommend the apartments to someone who is not sensitive to noise and is willing to push back politely on things like unnecessary expenses. I've had multiple friends live here and people generally like it aside from my experience with the noise.

Definition of looks are everything. They boast all these amenities during the tour that actually aren’t available to residents at all. I tried to use the lounge as a small get together for a birthday (about 4 people total and some food) and got told that wasn’t allowed because it prevents other residents from using the lounge. 1. We were taking up a small portion of the counter space and didn’t prevent people from using the lounge in any way. 2. The kitchen they have in there isn’t to be used by residents. 3. About a week later, the lounge was closed for about 5 hours to ALL residents so the staff could have a private party. They regularly tell people using the basketball court for basketball that they need to vacate so 2 people can do yoga and somehow take up the entire gym. The outdoor movie screen is 100% for show and has never been used except to sell to potential residents. All community events are just overpriced food trucks that are usually 20 minutes away anyway. And because I moved out a week before and wasn’t present for the move out inspection, they charged hundreds in fees for slight wear and tear. Some of the blinds were bent (probably there when I moved in but wasnt stingy enough to call out) and the shower had some leftover residue in between the tiles) = $500 of damages to them. Expect fire alarms every other day and multiple power outages during the summer. Also be sure to turn in the tiny sticker needed to not get towed (not the actual card that let’s you in and out of the garage, just the little decal that isnt re-usable) because that’s another $100 fee.I have seen multiple businesses move out of this street because of the lack of community. I would suggest checking out the other apartment places in the area. Unless you just want to overpay for a place to sleep, then the Halstead fits perfectly.2 stars because the maintenance and cleaning staff were very friendly and were always on top of it.

Jamillah, Julie, Beth and Jovan were awesome during my move in! I had a seamless move in process and move day, I really appreciate the attention to detail and support the staff provided throughout my move journey. Staff is always willing to help and kind since I’ve moved in, really happy I chose this as my home.

I’ve been a resident at Halstead Square for 2 years and it’s been a great experience. The community is always clean and I love the weekly food trucks. The office and maintenance teams are super helpful and friendly. Sharaf and Jorge get my service tickets done fast and always answer any questions I have. Great place to live!

Management will try to screw you out of your security deposit when you move out with frivolous claims. They will claim what is normal wear and tear as needing a full replacement, and deduct it from your security deposit. There is little to no noise proofing in this building, and you will hear people in the hallways, your upstairs neighbor stomping around, as well as your next door neighbors.

Toured Halstead Square recently and was taken aback by how much their floor sparkled -- from being so clean. The team there is top-notch and not only are super friendly, but they plan the most amazing resident events. Seriously, they have something planned for almost every day of the month of April and they are all different events. Highly recommend considering this community if you are looking for a new home. Great job Halstead Square!

Had the pleasure of touring here last Saturday on March 18th, 2023 and I have to say I was blown away by the staff here for their hospitality as well as how well they were with the tenants while receiving my tour. This made me want to finish out my application as soon as possible. A big shoutout to Jamillah! She was amazing!

Decent apartments but not worth the prices. They also contract the WORST towing company I have ever seen. They have approximately 5 overnight guest parking spots for a complex with 400+ tenants.

Halstead Square - Lotus & Lofts used to be a good place for sometimes then the quality of service dropped, two main complains the first is that they installed a new system for existing and entering the building that does not actually work, because it requires you to use an app on your phone to lock and unlock and enter/exist the building, it doesn't not work properly (you can ask every resident in the complex they will tell you that they absolutely hate it and that they have trouble with it all the time) and if your cellphone ever runs out of battery you'll be in trouble especially after midnight when there is no one available to help. Second complain is actually personal one time i parked the car a little over two spots, even though that I always park my car far away where no one actually parks they towed my car regardless, honest according to the rules they can do that but that's not the problem, the problem is when I went to the front desk to ask for help the dude on the front desk (Thomas) was horrible in his service and unprofessional at all, he told me that he we help but later engorged me completely and started helping everyone who needs and don't need help , he even helped the door dash and food delivery (people who don't even live here) and I was sitting there waiting for him, honestly, he didn't seem to care about helping at all, absolutely disgraceful, and after waiting for so long I decided to leave and find another way to get the towing company number!! Another reason for me to leave this coming June and not renew the contract or even return to rent here again in the future or rent at any bozzuto runed apartment complex, hopefully administration can look in correcting this employee and teach him, how to do his work properly or give him the proper training.
