This is insane every month there is some issue, with payments and now appts. Woodbridge location says you need to call Fairfax. I called annd they updated my account and ansked if they can make me appt for an appt for Woodbridge he said, yes. Now I’m at Woodbridge with no appt!

I’ve had good experiences with every location except this one. I tried to give them a pass on the first incident, in which the manager called me hours after my service saying that I did not leave a tip, when I absolutely did! A healthy one at that , on top of the $200 in product I purchased! I felt that was very unprofessional, but figured I wouldn’t do a negative review, because my esthetician was awesome! This time, around, I took a chance, scheduled an appointment last night because I felt achy, and this location has the soonest availability. Then this morning I woke up with horrible cold symptoms. In an effort to protect the staff, I canceled, I was told I had to pay a fee, I explained why I was canceling. He then said, okay, I’ll delete your appointment. I received a call back saying “we have to charge you a same day cancellation fee anyway”. I asked so what if I just come in and subject you all to my sickeness so I’m not charged $40, the response was “it’s okay that you’re sick, I still have to charge you because our therapist won’t get paid “. Umm..as late as I made that appointment they clearly weren’t going to be paid for that hour anyway! Besides I canceled 5 hours early! I’ve had to cancel for work at other locations last minute before and never went through this! I’m not giving this location another chance nor would I recommend it!

I came to Hand and Stone for my first ever facial, it was a great experience! Marina was excellent, very knowledgeable and laid back. She had such a gentle touch, I almost fell asleep. My skin has never looked this good!

My SO bought a $200 gift card for my birthday. I used $119.95 of the gc on a 2-hr massage on 8/13. After my massage I was told about the membership and if I enrolled same day I would receive a second massage for my first month. So I signed up for the membership. That evening & next day I say my card get charged & refunded 8-10x. I called a few days later to schedule my next appointment & make sure my account was correct. I called the Fairfax location (where I originally went) the phone line was forwarded to the Woodbridge spa because the staff was in training. The person told me I did not have a membership & didn’t see any information. They got me signed up & charged my card for the membership. They advised me to call the Fairfax location to confirm I receive the 2nd massage. I called to confirm my appointment & spoke to a manager Annalise (I think that was her name). She informed me that they had transferred from massage green spa to hand & stone spa, so there was some confusion. I explained to her that I should have 2 massages & $80 left on my GC. She explained to me that everything should be sorted out. I came in for my 90 minute massage on 8/27. I was expecting to use 1 of 2 massages & pay the $40 difference with my GC. When I went to check out the person at the front desk had no idea what I was referring to. She tried to figure it out but could not. She wrote down the information & told me a manager would call me. I never received a call. When I attempted to schedule another appointment the same manager I spoke to answered the phone. Up until this point I was very patient & understanding. I also own a service based business & understand sometimes these things happen. But when I spoke to the manager the 2nd time she was very unhelpful, rude & not understanding of the situation. She refused to work with me & honor the 2nd massage I was offered & could not find the GC my husband originally purchased for me. Based on what I was told from the 1st day I should have 1 more massage & $40 in gc remaining. She refused to honor that & was completely unwilling to work with me. It was a very frustrating experience. Every interaction I’ve had with the massage therapists have been 5 star but my interaction with this manager & her unwillingness to work with me put such a bad taste in my mouth. For that reason I would never be able to recommend this spa to anyone.

Have to book appointments months in advance. Hard to get ahold of them by phone. Hard to cancel membership and staff not properly trained. They let you know of price increases without giving you the chance to cancel before you get charged for the last time.

I attended this place for over 6 years, it just has gone 'down hill'. The staff does not interact with management well, and not so friendly...the ones who are friendly are not trained well. Plus, most of the people there get their qualifications with a 3 hour course, or something similar. I would not use this venue.

This place is great if you can get an appointment. They called to confirm and sent texts to confirm that our appointment was the next day and then 10 min before the appointment called and cancelled. This is why we cancelled our membership: because we can never get an appointment or keep it.

I had a wonderful experience at this location. Sarah, the Assistant GM, was very friendly and accommodating. Mia was my aesthetician and she went above and beyond to ensure I received the best possible care. She was knowledgeable and my goodness it was the BEST facial I ever had! I felt so taken care of and had a very positive experience. I plan on going back soon and bringing a friend with me. Definitely give this location another shot as they are under new management and really working to providing high-quality care to their clients!

I cannot recommend going to this spa over the others in the area. My therapist was running 15 minutes behind after moving my appointment to a very inconvenient time for myself due to their strict cancellation policy. The service and staff were good, but they ended up shortening my appointment by about 20 minutes after paying for a full hour at full price. I have been to other Hand and Stone Massage locations and have never encountered these issues. Overall, a very disappointing experience and I cannot recommend this spa.

Worst experience. Facial was subpar and they charged me an extra $110 for “added treatments” but didn’t tell me that they were extra and just acted like it was all apart of the $70 classic facial. When I responded to the email they sent for me to review they called me and and just offered me $20 off my next facial. Don’t go to this place!
