It’s a great location for a workout, and I usually enjoy using the sauna afterward to relax. However, the eucalyptus level in the sauna has been extremely high during my recent visits. Other members even joked that toothpaste wasn’t needed - just open your mouth for fresh breath. Some commented that it made their lips burn.
Each time I’ve gone, the eucalyptus concentration has been unusually strong. On my last visit, the steam wouldn’t activate unless I repeatedly stepped outside to press the button. It would turn on briefly, then stop, causing the room to become cold.
Since then, I started experiencing persistent nosebleeds and had to see a doctor, who prescribed antibiotics for sinusitis/infection. I don’t typically have sinus problems, so it seems likely that the high eucalyptus concentration caused irritation. While it might seem minor, our bodies aren’t meant to handle such strong concentrations. It can damage soft tissue. For now, I plan to skip the sauna at this location and use the one at another facility, where the levels seem to be much more balanced.

I usually go as a guest and a blonde girl at the reception does her best to prevent you from entering and if you do manage to enter she looks at you as if you were a homeless person, But the classes that Lifetime Fairfax teaches are amazing

The worst gym ever

This gym has completely lost touch with reality. The membership fees are the equivalent of a car note, and then they’ve got the audacity to charge $50 for a day pass—absolute robbery. For that price, you’d expect world-class facilities, but the equipment is subpar and barely competitive. DMV Iron not only has double the machines and far better quality, but it’s also 30–40% cheaper. What this place is doing isn’t about fitness—it’s about exploiting people’s wallets. If I could give this zero stars I would.

Friendly and helpful staff. They answer my questions and give advice how I can improve and maximize certain exercises and do them correctly.

My husband and I have been members at Lifetime Fairfax, VA since 2014.
I am writing this message to let your organization know that I’m really impressed the way your staffs at Lifetime Fairfax, VA have offered assistance to me.
They are not only hard working, but also very professional, and their communication are excellent that makes a positive impact on me as a client.
I’d like to thank Alessandro and entitle Operation Teams for their hard working with positive attitude. I would like to recognize Stefan (my best pickleball Coach as he was very patient with me), Justin (very nice with us at pickleball court), Kelly (Great receptionist with a nice smile. She was very professional when I asked her about adding new membership for my 10-year-olds nephew), Chris Taylor (helped me to choose super bands for my work out and even showed me how to use the bands the correct way to help my knee issues), and Gabe (help me to find this contact info to send my survey to LT).
Your staffs at Fairfax, VA answered all my questions/concerns. I’m greatly appreciated it. Thank you so much for your outstanding customer services!

I don’t have problem with the gym in general, the kids area where is supposed to be safe place for your little one. There is one one lady her name is mambi , she ‘s so rude and unprofessional to be with kids. If you see her don’t trust her and you have to check your kids while they are in the kids area. My son is autistic and always treats him differently when he comes instead of welcoming him she goes hide the toys away from him (infront of tge parents)claiming that he will make a mess which is his right to play while he’s in the play area. This lady always she says i am working for long time but she doesn’t seem have the enough experience with kids. Even her coworkers have problem to work with her.

Really good gym and clean. But please update the steam room eucalyptus release, when it runs out it smells absolutely awful compared to the other locations.

I visited the Fairfax Lifetime location for a gym tour on August 19th at 6:00 PM. My husband already has a membership at the Centreville location, where the staff have always been very welcoming and professional, so I was expecting a similar experience here. Unfortunately, that was not the case.
From the start, we were not greeted warmly despite having a scheduled tour appointment. The lady at the reception desk, who conducted the tour for us, was neither welcoming nor professional. When my husband mentioned that he has a membership and that I was also interested in joining, she repeatedly corrected his accent by asking, “Do you have, or had?” instead of focusing on assisting us. This was disrespectful and uncomfortable.
During the tour, I asked about the maximum capacity allowed for their Pilates classes. Her response was, “Just count however many machines there are—that’s the maximum.” This answer was dismissive and not informative at all.
Overall, the experience at this location was very disappointing compared to Centreville. Because of the poor service and lack of professionalism, we decided to continue with the Centreville location for both myself and my kid instead.

Members since 2019 and although prices incrementally increase between 18-24 months, we find that the upgrades, staff, and maintenance of the facilities are on par with the increases. They do an excellent job keeping their equipment operating when needing fixing, and cleaning (which seems like every hour if not more) around corners and crevices normally forgotten. Equipment is plenty, sure they get busy during busy hours, but since the renovation, have added many more squat racks which was a pain point in the past. Newly renovated sauna is wonderful, the addition of the Recovery area is amazing with the hydromassage chairs and use of Normatec compressions and Hyperice machines. We love going here. Boyfriend is sad about the loss of the basketball court into a pickle ball court, but that's about it. Just wish it was closer to us. Thanks for a well-run and operated gym.
