I placed an order on line, in a Michael's store far from my home. I went to the store only to find out from the cashier that that item was out of stock but I found the exact same thing in stock on the floor. When I went to check out, I was told that I was not entitled the a 30% discount bc "that's only valid for online orders." Had I not persisted and advocated for myself, I would have had to pay full price for the exact same item I ordered online.
