I had such an amazing experience here! Hannah did an incredible job my nails and i got a pedicure as well. She was so nice, attentive, and really made sure I was comfortable the whole time. My nails came out beautiful, and I couldn’t be happier with how they look. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend Hannah if you’re looking for great service and gorgeous nails!

My husband and I have been getting manicures and pedicures here for over a year. Kim is our nail technician and always takes her time ensuring a high quality product. I would highly recommend booking an appointment with her.

I would have given 2 stars for the disappointing work and the receptionist's attitude but giving one extra only for manicurist's efforts. I showed the manicurist what I wanted in picture (it was a simple ombre) before taking the seat. She should have told me at the time that she doesn't know how to do that. After applying the base gel paint, she kept trying for a while, asked other staff members if they knew it, tried different brushes but she couldn't. It was disappointing because I would not have got manicure done there if I knew they could not do what I wanted or at least had chosen something simpler with a different color. BOTH MY TIME AND MONEY GOT WASTED AND ON TOP OF THAT THE RECEPTIONIST , INSTEAD OF FEELING SORRY ABOUT IT, ARGUED ABOUT IT WITHOUT ANY IDEA OF THE TECHNICALITY, AND BASELESSLY BLAMED my choice of color for it (which is totally inaccurate as I and many others, if you just see Google images, have got ombre done in the past with strikingly contrasting colors). So you pay the full $40, don't get what you wanted but instead get frustration in return.

Not Recommended at all. I was going there for the convenience of the location, but every time there is something wrong with the work they do. Their Gel always cracks and they blame it on “your nails are weak” meanwhile if i do my nails anywhere else this is never the case. The last time i went was the end of it as i requested my Gel nails to be removed and they broke all my nails and it took me 3 months to fix the damage they did to my nails. They are very tense there and always in a rush with an attitude. For the area they are in it needs to be a higher quality nail place. Very low quality service.

I’ve been going to Mint for over a year now, and I still absolutely love it—especially thanks to my amazing nail technician, Jenny! Big shoutout to friends who give the best recommendations.
Jenny has never disappointed. I’ll come in with an idea, and she always brings it to life with her own creative spin. Her attention to detail and eye for design are just wonderful. She's truly a gem!
She recently went on maternity leave (congrats, Jenny!), and I’ve had a couple of appointments with other techs since. My most recent visit was with Hannah, and she was great—super sweet and did a lovely job! I can’t say she’s just as amazing as Jenny (because Jenny’s my girl!), but Hannah definitely made the visit a good one.
One thing to note: not all technicians specialize in nail art or designs, so if you're asking for something more detailed, sometimes another tech will step in to finish. It’s not a big deal, but worth knowing if you’re particular about your designs.
The salon itself is clean, welcoming, and well-run. Booking is super easy—I usually text, but you can call too. The receptionist is always so friendly and accommodating, even when I’m being that person making last-minute changes (sorry and thank you!).
Highly recommend Mint if you’re looking for reliable, talented techs and a relaxing experience every time.

I used to frequent MINT and left because my usual nail tech started her own business. I went back (against my better judgement) because she was out of town. My manicure was rushed (not sure why, pretty empty in the salon), I got a cut on my finger from the aggressive filing and not even 24 hours later the clear coat is peeling and one of my nails is lifting. Will not be returning. TOTAL waste of $65. Will NOT be returning.

I used to go to this salon exclusively but there must be new ownership.

Very disappointed with my visit. I went in for a manicure and pedicure, and honestly, it felt like a waste of money. My nails were barely shaped, and there was no real care taken. As for the pedicure, they didn’t even properly clean or smooth my feet. You can still see dry skin.
I expected at least the basics to be done properly, but sadly, that wasn’t the case. And I paid $80 for this result! I won’t be coming back and wouldn’t recommend it.

85 dollars for mediocre nail work??? I used to like coming here but the prices are insanely high and the work is rushed and subpar. I recommend finding a place that doesn’t charge 85 for plain FRENCH TIPS 🤦🏼♀️

I’ve been seeing Hannah at mint for almost a year and she is the best. I finally transitioned from gel manicure to SNS/dip. She carefully applied and filed each layer and now my nails are strong but not too thick. Hannah is so sweet and always listens to any requests I have.

Great service! I was a walk in and at the time the wait wasn't long at all. I had Holly, excellent work on my toes!

TLDR: Nail filed through to nail bed and painted over with shared product while actively bleeding, had to go to urgent care after receiving service to clean the wound and get updated Tetanus shot.
I have been a customer at Mint Nail Lounge in both Ballston and Mosaic for years and have never had a bad service until this one. I went to the Mosaic location on February 1, 2025 for a manicure and pedicure, as well as removal of SNS polish manicure. The nail tech I had (Dung Luong - “Diana”) sat me in the pedicure chair and began using the electric drill to remove the SNS from my nails - the dust got all over me and my shoes as she did not lay down towels. She then put acetone remover on my nails and let it sit for approximately 30-45 minutes while doing my pedicure. Once done with the pedicure, she removed the acetone to see that it didn’t fully dissolve the SNS polish, at this point she used the electric nail file directly on my natural nails. She did this so aggressively that it caused my nail beds to become red and I felt a burning sensation. I’m pretty non-confrontational so I didn’t say anything at this point, which proved to be a huge mistake. Moving to the manicure, she continued to file my nails aggressively with a used nail file and nail buffer, which filed fully through one of my nails to the skin causing me to have a bleeding wound in the middle of my nail. Despite this Diana continued to use a nail file on the wound. Before painting, I was instructed to wash my hands and pay - at this point I got a good look at my hands and saw my there was a hole in my nail that was actively bleeding. I went back to the manicure station and told her I no longer wanted color because my nail was bleeding (and quite frankly I wanted to end the experience as soon as possible), but I asked if we could do clear polish on all of my other nails. Thinking we understood each other, she proceeded to apply clear polish on my nails as I had asked, but then proceeded to paint over the bleeding wound with top coat nail polish — to be clear this is a nail polish that has been and will likely be used on other customers.
I left in a state of shock and ended up going to urgent care to get the wound properly cleaned. I also had to receive an updated tetanus shot as the doctor was concerned about the cleanliness of the metal tip on the nail drill.
I called on February 2, 2025 to let the salon know what happened - the receptionist was very kind and apologetic about the experience. She had me send photos to show her manager, who was not in at the time. She called me back quickly and the salon refunded my money. To their credit, the receptionist and manager handled this professionally which was greatly appreciated.
In the photos attached you’ll see my blood encapsulated by clear nail polish on my nail, and then another photo from the morning after showing the size of the hole.

Nicely done, popular joint. Will be back and want to see if a higher package leaves me with callus free feet this time.

This place is so inconsistent, my mom and I used to love coming here for pedicures but lately the work has been subpar and rushed and just overall rude.
First off, if they don’t have the color in stock they should probably take the option out of their color nail wheel. I had to choose 4 different colors before finally picking a color they actually had in stock (on their wall).
Now the pedicures, the two ladies definitely rushed for no reason because it was a slow day, it wasn’t busy and it seemed like they had no appointments during that time because nobody came in after us. There were also 3 other workers sitting waiting for walk ins. The massage was rushed, the way way they cut my moms nails was sloppy and incorrect. The reason I say they cut our toe nails wrong is because we’ve never had an issues before when our toes grow out, however now our nails are growing into our skin/ ingrown and it’s painful. And this is after a week! ONE WEEK!
Loved this place before but now just not worth it!

Thank you Kim for a great service anytime!!!
She always takes her time and my nails last until my next appointment with her. She does great with SNS. If want a nail technician that does not rush you please book with Kim.
