I stumbled upon Mint Nail Lounge as a walk-in, and it turned out to be an amazing find! Despite not having an appointment, they welcomed me warmly and accommodated me right away. The team not only provided exceptional nail services but also went the extra mile by offering a selection of drinks. Their kindness and attention to detail truly made the experience delightful. I highly recommend Mint Nail Lounge for their exceptional service and wonderful hospitality!

Kenzie is THE absolute BEST! I have been seeing her for the past 6 months and she has transformed my once short weak nails into SUPER strong beautiful nails. Very consistent and takes great care! Highly recommend her ?

I live in the Mosaic district and was excited to be able to go to a nail lounge nearby, but I strongly recommend that you go elsewhere. The service was terrible. I understand that I have short toenails, but the technician repeatedly hurt me and did not even apologize. I had to ask twice for rubbing alcohol for a spot that she cut too deeply. She begrudging applied Neosporin. I was so dissatisfied that I asked that she not apply any color. Truly a disappointing experience.

I had such a wonderful experience here today! Hannah did an amazing job on my nails and hand painted all the snowflakes. She was so kind and detail oriented. I would def recommend going to this salon and working with her!!

Came here for a simple mani/pedicure and the woman servicing me completely cut down my nails beyond what I asked for, to the point that she cut 2 of my toes and they started bleeding. She didn’t clip off my fingernail cuticles well and overall left me with a poor feeling about the experience.

Hannah did my SNS manicure and I couldn't be happier with it. She was a pleasure to talk to and she did amazing work.

Save yourself some money and go to Luxe nail lounge instead. I live In mosaic and decided to come here and try it rather than my go to. It was TERRIBLE. I got the most expensive pedicure and she barely got any of the dead skin off, no massage etc. my nails are cut awkward. I asked For a French. She didn’t buff my nail so it looked yellow bc of previous color. I asked Her to go a little bit more pink bc of that and I got Barbie pink. Told her to stop. Didn’t get a French nor the wax etc and they charged me for the entire thing. I had to pretty much demand they do discount and I just got the gel color off. Save yourself money and go to luxe. They take care of you and are so much better nail techs. Highly disappointed.Service: Pedicure

This place is so unprofessional. Never again!!!! I The lack of professionalism, attention to details, and overall poor customer service left me feeling disappointed and frustrated. They don't value their clients and the people at the front are unorganized and rude. Their ratings are dropping because of unprofessionalism and inexperienced technicians. They have not been able to retain their employees and most of the new employees are inexperienced. I went yesterday to Mint to get a SNS manicure. Since my nails were already in almond shape; I didn't think there was a need to let her know what shape I want. My nail technician didn't ask and started to give them a round shape when I asked her to fix it back to almond shape she started to argue and have an attitude. Regardless, she performed a sloppy job and left my nails in a weird shape. When I complaint about the sloppy job, they refused to fix my nails and the receptionist flat out asked me to find another salon as they can't satisfy me. I have been a loyal customer for 2+ years and thats the type of customer service I received for my loyalty. I will never be going back here again and strongly advise others to explore alternative options and choose a salon with a better reputation for quality and customer care.Service: Dip powder

I went to Mint to get a dip powder manicure, I had Jenny. I told her to keep my shape and length and I liked the dip powder applied thinly, she confirmed but instead she completely reshaped my nails and used the drill on the tip of my nails which I have never seen done before, this caused a half moon shape on the top of all my nails - shortening them drastically and misshaping them. I had to have her file them down even further to fix the weird shape on the tip. She was not very friendly or accommodating even though I was very clear about what I wanted going into the appointment. She made the sns thick and did not buff the tips after finishing leaving me with sharp and scratchy nails. She was rough with my nail beds and drilled them a couple times which was very painful. On top of this the price was very high. Would not recommend.Service: Dip powder

The customer service at this location is poor. The ladies at the front desk are very disorganized and seem frazzled most of the time. There is a receptionist with tattoos that works here and I am seriously wondering why she is employed, rude, disorganized, unkept, un knowledgeable. No effort is put into learning the product and location in the store. They spent half an hour looking for a particular color I wanted. The lady who did my nails was rude, for no reason. She was rough in handling my hands, it was so bad I had to pull her up about it and asked her to be more gentle. The Ballston location, however has the best people, the best customer service, idk what’s going on with the Merrifield staff. My suggestion have a meeting with the staff around the importance of customer service, and vet the front end staff out properly because they are a mess.

The staff there never smiled and were downright mean. The receptionist, with tattoos, was the rudest person I've ever encountered. When I called today, she actually hung up on me. Honestly, it was the worst customer service experience I've had. Avoid this salon at all costs!Save yourself the frustration and disappointment, and find a salon where the staff actually care about their customers. Mint should take a hard look at their practices and make some serious changes with the receptionist, if they want to survive in this competitive industry.Service: Dip powder

This review isn’t based off the nails they do, it’s based of a job interview i had with the owner for a front desk position. This interview was the most odd/unfair interview i’ve ever experienced. In the jobs i’ve interviewed for they usually mainly focus on my work experience. This time the owner actually focused on my education background and if i was proficient in math, in the job description it never said you had to be proficient in math and that you had to have some sort of degree. At the time i was a community college student and he seemed to be disappointed from that response, and when it came to my math skills he was testing me by asking me math questions while mentally timing me. As most people would, i got nervous and i wasn’t as fast with the responses as he’d like. I asked him if the front desk register couldn’t do the math automatically and his response was that it does work but he needed to see if my math skills were to his standards. This was not an internship, not an office job, it wasn’t a job that required any type of degree/certification or proficient knowledge of any subject. I don’t want to bring up that i felt discriminated because maybe that wasn’t his intention but that is how i felt. I am a young Hispanic lady—would he do this to any other person interviewing or was it just to me, that thought still runs through my head.Another thing he asked was what jobs my parents had and what was their education background. As you read this entire thing you will realize he didn’t mention anything about my work history, that’s because i had to bring it up myself. The owner is judgmental, as far as interviewees go, this is a warning what could possibly happen.

Long overdue for a second review of this place. Clean, friendly, and now they offer WINE. Enough said. Annie is a long-standing employee and she is absolutely amazing. She is a perfectionist and also seems to understand when you want to chat and when you want to just chill. My nails look like a million bucks after I leave. Come see Annie and you will leave feeling relaxed and beautiful ?

I really wanted to love this place! It's walking distance from my office. I got a gel manicure done on 2/7 - I went in with long natural nails and asked that they just be trimmed and reshaped. Everything seemingly went just fine until two days later when one of my nails chipped really badly. I didn't think much of it at the time, maybe I had accidentally hit it or something. A week later, 7 out of my 10 nails (and gel) had chipped. I had to cut all of my nails and file them. I called the salon to explain what happened and to see what they were able to do for me.The lady was kind on the phone, but mentioned that they only guarantee gel manicures for a week. I told her that I get gel manicures done frequently, and it has always lasted me 4-6 weeks. They said I could come back and they would offer me 20% off of another manicure. After reading other reviews, this unfortunately seems to be a theme. I will not be going back.Service: Gel manicures

Went in for a mother daughter pedicure, appointment ahead of time, and they did not have chairs together. When I said we could wait or come back another time they reluctantly got a few chairs ready for us to sit together, then proceeded to give us the shortest and most hostile pedicure I’ve ever head. About half the time and they just seemed mad at us for requesting to be together. They also up charge for things like the razor, which I’ve always thought was an option for any regular pedicure. I am glad their business is thriving and they’re busy but we wont be going back to waste our money here again. Not kind to my kid either. In short, we paid for an experience we didn’t get.Service: Pedicure
