It’s a pretty place that has unfortunately gone downhill. I came here to take two orders, and the cashier who took our order basically got angry at me after I asked if they had a chocolate soft serve, and she just said, “No, we only sell vanilla!” That was just flat-out rude. Coffee is fairly decent, but it’s interesting to see that milk is just sitting out in the corner. At least the coffee is decent though.

Solid cappuccino l, one the best in metro area. The experience could have been even if they had ceramic cups for dine in order rather than just paper cups.

Good food, wonky weekend service. Some inconsistency with the Google Maps menu items. It also indicated curbside at one point, which they apparently don’t have. There is a space for comments on the ordering page that is not always read. Lastly, it can be a little slow in the morning depending on who is working, so plan accordingly during the week.

The lattes were a great calm drink. It was not at all trying to be too much and it wasn't too neutral. I got a Vanilla Latte and the other drink is a Matcha Latte. Decent desserts and great taste. I'll try it again some time soon. A side note, I absolutely love the actual convenient sustainability in their products, and other business should follow suit.

Cozy coffee place located in the vibrant Mosaic District with outdoor seatings. Large Vanilla Bean latte was good but very pricey more like medium.

Not super satisfied with my experience. Went this morning to grab avocado toast which is suppose to come with avocado, egg, & pickled onion. Well they were out of eggs and failed to inform me of this at all. I get home and my toast is just avocado and pickled onions. Confused I call to let them know and they say they can only partially refund me $0.50. So I said they can keep that, & it was very unhelpful in my opinion. If I was informed before hand I could have made a different decision. Very unhappy this morning, I just wanted egg on my $16.00 toast. Wish I could take my tip back at this point. I won’t be going back.

The Mom and Pop Coffee Shop in Washington DC provides a basic coffee experience. While the atmosphere is cozy, the menu and ambiance are somewhat ordinary. The coffee is satisfactory, and the service is decent. It's a no-frills option for a quick caffeine fix, but don't expect a gourmet experience. The charm of a typical mom-and-pop establishment adds a touch of local authenticity. If you're in the neighborhood and need a straightforward coffee stop, the croissant and viennoiseries are delicious, Mom and Pop Coffee Shop fits the bill.Reviewed by Tarek Belghith from RZ Network Inc visiting from Ottawa Ontario Canada.

The Peppermint mocha was delicious but the breakfast sandwich wasn’t great—the biscuits were very crumbly making it impossible to eat without a fork. Service was fine.

Love that they had vegan options! We got the vegan orange scone and vegan muffin! The warm apple cider was so delish too! Vegetarian options: Vegan muffin and vegan scones were delish!

MAJOR SANITIZATION CONCERNS!I'd ordered delivery from Mom & Pop a couple times before and always found everything to be good. Then, I happened to be near by on Saturday and so decided to stop in personally. While the order taker was polite and efficient, the coffee was so/so and the pastry was quite good -all positives, 3.5ish stars aggregate- the person making the coffee ruined it all with their markedly unsafe food handling practices.I watched this person go from making drinks, to fiddling with their ear bud in their ear, to handing a cleaning cloth across food surfaces to someone who was just cleaning trash and making contact with them, straight to reaching for lids for my drinks - filthy hands all over the drinking surface.I stopped them, cleared the top lid, and took my own. They have me a look (perhaps because I said "no, gross" a knee-jerk response when they started fiddling with lids) and then they just kept working, filthing up the machine and the drinks of everyone after me for who knows how long.Overall: I recommend getting better coffee at a shop that follows food safety protocols, which should not be at all hard to do.
