The Recreation and Athletic Complex at George Mason University is a well-equipped and welcoming facility suitable for a variety of fitness activities. It offers everything needed for weightlifting, including a good selection of weight machines, squat racks, and free weights. The gym also features a large martial arts room, a dedicated yoga room available when classes are not in session, and heavy bags for boxing upstairs. The space is versatile, with areas for bodyweight workouts, dance practice, and pickup games with friends. The second floor provides a decent range of cardio machines, which are usually available even during busy hours, along with a smaller set of dumbbells and barbells for more flexible workouts. The facility is generally clean and in good condition, contributing to a positive experience for students and visitors. Many users appreciate the welcoming atmosphere and the effort put into maintaining the building. However, some concerns have been raised about the equipment cleaning procedures, as the use of shared fabric towels for wiping down equipment may not effectively prevent germs. Despite this, the overall environment is friendly and well-suited for those dedicated to their fitness goals. The complex successfully provides an excellent space for students to pursue a wide range of fitness activities.
They've done a wonderful job with this building and providing an excellent facility for the students at George Mason University. Very welcoming feel to visitors as well.
