Everything about the hotel is good except the wifi. It is god awful even using the “enhanced” version. It’s the only reason I’m bringing it down to 3 stars.

My first experience with this hotel was staying here for business purposes. The rooms are always clean, the people are always friendly and helpful. The location is great and there is a good amount of parking. We recently had employees stay here for the summer, the staff was exceptional to work with. They were always helpful, quick to respond, and all-around amazing. I can't say enough. I work with a lot of hotels and by far this is one of the best! I look forward to continuing to stay here and working with them!

We had a great experience at this hotel. Rooms are big , comfy bed, easy parking and location is great. Maybe the breakfast can be a little bit better but not a reason to complain.
Rooms: Big rooms, with a small living and kitchen area
Safety: The area is great. Not busy. We felt safe at all times

Rooms: Suites are sweet... feels like a luxury apartment. This location reminds me of why I enjoyed Marriot in the past.

The rooms are very comfortable and have a full kitchen with everything you need. When you call guest services, they provide quick service. The breakfast is delicious, with a variety of foods available. The dining area is very spacious, and they even have small rooms with TVs. The staff is very friendly. The hotel location is excellent due to its convenience. Parking is free, and the area feels very safe. The surroundings have everything you need for a few days with family.

Among the best Residence Inns we ever stayed at.
Rooms: Very comfortable and well equipped
Nearby activities: Good location for Washington DC touring IF you also want to spend time in Fairfax County visiting friends etc.

Nice hotel. This is my first time staying here at this location. Room was clean and comfortable except for the A/C unit. It is bit loud for me but if someone like to sleep with a sound machine, this is perfect for them. Not very close to restaurants but I was only here for a short period.

The Marriot Residents Inn in Fairfax is nicely located. For the hotel itself I would give a 4 star rating, but the 5 star is for the staff and management. They are great and helpful, professional and friendly at the same time making sure the hotel guests are listened to. A lot of credit to the young manager ( Daniel, I hope my spelling is correct). He is one of the best. Front desk staff ( everyone we encountered) was great.
Location is close to DC and various places in VA without the heavy traffic.
One suggestion: better breakfast options

This hotel is the definition of brand name doesn't matter! Stayed at worse JW/Westin properties. If the management knows what they are doing and actually care you get hotels like these.

We stayed here for one night in a Studio Room. The studio was spacious and looked like the one-bedroom suites, just without the wall for separation. As far as appliances we only used the fridge and it worked fine. The bed was comfortable and the tv has a button for Netflix.Before we left we grabbed breakfast which is included. I hoped for waffles but this location didn't have a waffle iron that I saw. The eggs were decent, typical, I had a sausage patty, and toast. There's also oatmeal, cereal, juices, pastries, fruit, and coffee. There are comfortable booths in the dining area with TVs, though we did not see remotes to turn them on.We came off a side street I guess so there was a quick right into the back parking lot which you can enter without a key. The staff was pleasant and it was convenient to the Eagle Bank Arena where we were going for a comedy show.Nearby activities: Eagle Bank Arena is nearby for shows and concerts. There are also several newer strip malls with restaurants.Food & drinks: The food was basic free hotel breakfast, I always enjoy the large slices of bread on the breakfast bar.

The only thing that wasn't great was the pull out mattress. It was very uncomfortable, it definitely could've used replacing.

Good clean place. Mostly updated. Has a small kitchen enough for 2 people to cook and eat no problem. Spacy parking space.

I often put up visiting friends and family here when no space in my place. It's a good place for singles, couples, and even families. There are better prices to be had, and some of the rooms would benefit from a bit more attention. The breakfast is better than most suite hotels, and the staff is helpful. You need a car to get beyond a few chain restaurants (Denny's and Red Lobster) or the Amazon Fresh buffet.Nearby activities: Not much.Walkability: Fair
