Hot food bar is always out of mac n cheese. Like just make more when its running low. I shouldn't have to ask and wait every time I want to order some.

I live right in between Safeway and Wegmans. Wegmans is just about all around superior to Safeway - for the most part. However, one thing I truly appreciate about Safeway is certain people who work there. They brighten my day whereas Wegmans, albeit friendly staff and helpful are just too pre-occupied with the vast crowd of people bombarding them that I can't seem to get that personal touch and attention to detail I've become accustomed to at Safeway. 3 staff members come to mind right away - DOROTHY! Kim & Randy - all 3 are fantastic people and as long as they're working there I'll continue to snub Wegmans. Can you remember when youve been on a first name-basis friendship with staff at a random business?! These 3 put me in a good mood, it's a joy to see them every time I'm there. I've also brought by friends and family members who've had the nicest things to say about them. Props to whomever hired these 3 fine employees - and more importantly genuinely decent people who've somehow managed to make grocery shopping enjoyable.

Seafood department manager isn't very friendly. Ever since I went to another Safeway and was offered to have my crab legs weighed after steaming them, I will never pay for them frozen again. You pay for a whole pound and it is just ice. So if you get three pounds, you're walking out with two. IF THAT. It's a way to get over and it really is a scam to not do otherwise.

This is a review for the pharmacy. It's a busy day today at the store, but Ali provided exceptional customer service and went out of his way to help us. I'm grateful for his help and impressed with his professionalism.

Will give this store some credit. It is exceptionally clean. This might not be as luxurious as some of the new ones, but it is tidy which is good. Only problem is Safeway doesn't seem as competitive price wise as others. That's their choice, although once in a blue moon, they'll have items on a substantial savings. Check the circular to know when. The employees here are really nice. It seems they always have plenty of staff on duty. This also is in a convenient location. Often I'm running in and out, for a few items I forgot. Typical single dad stuff. Parking is plentiful, and lines are minimal.

I came into this store tonight to pick-up one of their $7.00' tuna sandwiches. I ended up leaving with the tuna sandwich, as well as, a twelve pack of pellegrino water. They have a pretty decent selection of pre made sandwiches, but I'm a creature of habit, and I really like tuna because of the health factor. I've been to this store on several occasions, and I've always had a decent experience. I have never witnessed any shortages of items, at least for the things that I buy. The store is tidy and clean as you would expect. I paid for my items with the self checkout lane, so I didn't have an interaction with an employee. The sandwich is delicious as always, and a great value!

I received my order at pick up area, didn't find out until back home. It is not acceptable to provide your customer with the mould on organic strawberries!!!

Absolute ripoff. Tried to buy 6 sale items today. Two rung up without the sale price. This, in my opinion, in not an accident or error. Be prepared to spend an extra 15 minutes at checkout to escort the idiots around pointing out the problems. Buyer beware!!!!

This review is strictly of the Customer Service desk in relation to receiving a Western Union transfer. I've never had to send or receive a transfer before, but my bank suggested it as a workaround when my electronic transfer of funds between banks was delayed by 72 hours and I had to pay a contractor at my house same day. She initiated two Western Union transfers for $999 each, she sent me the money transfer control numbers (MTCNs), and looked up locations where I could pick it up. She said "Any Safeway grocery store can do it."I arrived at 6:30pm on a Monday. I waited about 4-5 minutes with two wriggly impatient kids as the Customer Service desk helped a woman trying to buy cigarettes and lottery tickets. There was only one employee working the desk. When it was my turn, I explained what type of assistance I needed. She seemed unsure, so a manager was paged. Clearly not many people have a need for Western Union transfers, or at least not on the receiving end. After I showed the MTCN and my ID, she started to process the transaction and then said "I can give you $500 in cash, and the rest will be a money order." I said, no - the reason we did a Western Union transfer was so that I could receive cash to pay my contractor. She said sorry, that's store policy. I said, "Well your other Safeway cashed out one transfer for $999 just fine 2 hours ago. Why does your store have this policy and the other does not? Aren't you a corporate chain?" She said every store sets their own policy and there was nothing she could do. I wasn't about to initiate only a partial payout of a money transfer, and then run into headaches later as I explain why I only received some of the $ and not all. So we wasted 15 minutes in total here, and I had nothing to show for the trouble. This was Safeway #2 of 3 in my odyssey to get the second Western Union transfer processed. It was amazing the lengths I had to go to for two Western Union money transfers. Seriously, don't advertise you're a participating Western Union transfer location if you're only willing to take $ for outgoing transfers and aren't prepared to receive and cash out a transfer. Secondly, there shouldn't be some store policy that precludes someone from receiving a full transfer. The maximum transfer is $999, and you as a participating store should be prepared and willing to honor the full transfer. I understood not having enough on hand for two, because I know Western Union transfers are a bit of a holdout from a bygone era; but be prepared for at least one!

I have never liked this place. Today makes me dislike Safeway even more. It is Christmas Day. The Safeway website says they will remain open until 4pm. I arrived at 3:15 pm and there was a line in front of the closed store. Everyone acted on what the hours posted. This of course is added to consistently rude employees.I am sorry, Safeway just sucks! There are so many other options,.
