You call your pharmacy the day before your prescription runs out. They tell you that they are not sure if you have your medication and they are too busy to check. If they don't have it, it will take two days or more days for them to refill your prescription. So you will go without your medication for several days. You begin to wonder whether their uncaring, dismissive attitude about you not having your medication has to do with the type of medication and your condition. Would they be so dismissive if your condition had less to do with a cognitive impairment but was, say, a life-saving heart medication? I always feel bad for pharmacists as they are obviously overworked and are trying to do their best, but job stress does not excuse the inability to perform the most basic tasks of your training: show care for your patients. This has now happened twice, so it seems to be a systemic issue rather than a one-off.

I went to ask for information about the shingles vaccine on 10/10. The pharmacist wasn't too friendly. She asked for my insurance card. I showed her, she looked at it and said you might need your prescription card, turned around, walked away and never come back

I've been using them for years. They are diligent, and welcoming. They know my name and take take the time to answer questions. Its like a small town drug store.

The pharmacy tech is consistently rude, lazy, and very unhelpful. I thought maybe she was having a bad day, so I’ve given this place several chances- this will be the last time I use this pharmacy. The pharm tech (the only one who apparently works there) gave me attitude about my prescriptions not being covered by my insurance and why I hadn’t called my insurance yet. I am a first responder and was on a 36hr shift. Even worse, my insurance company said that my prescription was, in fact, covered, but she continued to tell me that it wasn’t and that it wasn’t her problem to look into. Awful. As a healthcare provider myself, this is absolutely unacceptable.

We have lived here for over 10 years and used to go to the store I will not go there anymore . We have bought so much produce that has gone bad within a day . The store is dirty and there are several cashiers that are very rude .

We had brought oatmeal cookies, only to come home and realize that they're like rocks and stale. It was the 26th we bought them and they were packaged on the 18th, nearly 10 days ago. The sellby was the 26th. Not only were our cookies stale, but the salad kit we had gotten was old!!! The expiration was the 17th! Reading the rest of these reviews, someone also seemed to complain about foods expiring at this Safeway. I feel d*** for not checking expiration dates when shopping but it's the stores job to ensure their products aren't expired. Anyways, either shop at this Safeway and check expiration dates while shopping bc who knows what else is old there, or just shop somewhere more reliable. I haven't shopped here enough to have more complaints but I don't think i'm going to come back

The more I shop at Safeway the more I like it. This one here it located in the Twinbrook Shopping Center In Fairfax Virginia. This isn't my go to Safeway and in fact I don't come here often. But when I need it, it's there. I was on the way back from Centerville Virginia and needed to stop in and get some cough drop and cough medicine for my wife and this Safeway is right on that route. This Safeway like most around here has a Starbucks just inside the door which is nice. After passing the Starbucks I saw something that made me happy. I saw a display of Canada Dry Ginger Ale with Lemonade. Been looking for it and found it here at Safeway. It's great by the way, get yourself some. Safeway usually have a very nice beer and wine section and this one does, lots of nice Virginia wines and a good selection of beers. They also have hot meals to go and there is a very good selection here as well. Love the bakery and the meats from here too. Great florist here too. This is an older Safeway, it's been here for as long as I can remember. It's a smaller one but it's set up nice and has a lot of good stuff.

This Safeway is in the NO LIST. My wife says it is dirty and refuses to shop here based on all the reasons you already see people mention. We made an exception to pick up hot dogs and buns for a quick grilled meal - and that was a bad decision. I see baby watermelons on sale for $1.99 and think that is a great deal. Rings up at $7.99. - d I question it. The cashier calls the produce manager who tells me I picked it up from some counter other then where I did...and challenges me. Rather then say somewhere there was an error, he chooses to argue. Never again. Safeway management - you have an Opportunity for a nice stir in a nice neighborhood - what are you doing?!!

Well, I read a lot of negative remarks on this particular Safeway, and I disagree. This is my preferred Safeway, one that I go out of my way to visit. It is smaller, but the shelves are well stocked and they have the brands, prices, and selection I look for. Regarding pricing, I find their prices better than the competitors, but I also find they all have sales, and you can always find better prices at other stores. Years ago, Shoppers had the best prices in the area, but not now. I do not find Giant prices very good, in general. I like the pleasant staff at this particular store - one manager always has a cheerful hello. I found a gem in Alex, in the meat department. Twice now, I have asked him to give me special attention, and both times he was quick to be accommodating. I considered my request for special help beyond what some might say is their job, and I will appreciated this special handling. Alex represents the store well. Another tall staffer works sometimes in Bakery, is very pleasant and cheery and has given me special attention with some of the baked items. Cashier "Mary" is another. I like it when the staff notice a familiar customer and greet them with a pleasant smile and kind word. I get this from this store, which is unusal these days. The place is clean.

I was there on last Friday. I wished the store would update- parts of the store smells like something is rotten. It seems they're behind in new products and placement. A little expensive compared to Giant- kind of weird. Why sell thawed and refrozen items in the cold cases. And the store is difficult to navigate.

With these high prices and long lines, plus being outdated to 1955 you've got to be kidding me. The only reason for two stars is its there and it has a decent selection of groceries. Otherwise I want to know why people shop here, as the pricing alone makes it expensive. Everyone knows you can get more for less elsewhere.
