I dropped by this Safeway to buy some milk, and the case was virtually empty.
It was very evident that the store appeared to be severely understaffed.

This is based on my experience today. The one time I decided to get lottery tickets, I put six single dollar bills in the machine. Didn't get the $5 ticket, just the $1 ticket. I asked a guy there for help and instead of giving me the actual ticket I wanted, he went into his office and gave me another one. Why?
Guess I learned my lesson...no lottery tickets.

Lovely employees are always ready to help. Whenever I have gone through self-checkout or up to the nearby customer service counter I am assisted by super helpful and friendly staff.

This Safeway store is actually the closest grocery store near where I live but I don’t go that often unless if I need some special ingredient for my recipe such as puff pastries that I can’t find at an Aldi or Lidl near me. It is a bit pricey for me but the customer service is very helpful and friendly.

This Safeway is very well run, clean, and with friendly service that has worked there for many years. In my experience, the Safeway brands are healthier and cheaper than most brands. Recently though their fresh oranges have been a bit of a disappointment. They can be purchased for $8.99 for a 8lb bag, but what you get are dry or moldy or both if the oranges are large. I would encourage Safeway to get a better orange vendor for the signature brand. That one is not up to par.

I have been going to this Safeway for 38 years! Seafood department used to be really good but not anymore. The store is well stocked up for the most part. Self check out is what they have going first the most part. They have one or two lanes open with cashiers and the belts are super dirty.
