Went one day to ask for a safety inspection at 4pm. The hours are listed on a sign as 8-5. The shopkeeper told me the mechanic had gone home for the day at 3. I asked if this was a regular occurrence and if he would be in for normal hours the next day. He said yes very confidently. When I returned at 3 the next day he said the mechanic had left already. And then told me it was because it was labor day. It was not labor day.

go see Victor if you need car work. he's the only one i talk to. i do not inspect there. I was reading a review about the Korean man. i have seen him, but i don't deal with him. Gas is always a bit cheaper here in the area.

Got into an accident with the pole. The lady goes “the truck is too big for you.” This statement was said right after I hit the pole. Definitely was not helpful when it was my first accident.

Best way to find a competent mechanic is to ask a trusted friend, relative, neighbor, co-worker, etc who they go to. Short of that, you can go to a place yourself and patiently talk to them, use your brains and intuition and you'll probably get a good idea, based on what they say and don't say if they're likely good eggs or bad eggs. Then, you might use them for a simple repair first, if that's all you currently need, and see if it satisfied your expectations. I think you'll eventually conclude as I did that you wont be thinking about other shops after you find this one. Anyone can write anything on Yelp or Google reviews. of course. Some shops that I know to be untrustworthy have mostly good reviews, so the only way is to ask around and do a little upfront research or you're just spinning the dice.

All these years, I have been using the dealer maintenance and repair service. But lately, I felt that they were not doing efficient work and overcharging me. After having a dispute with their pricing for fixing an oil leak, for which I had to visit 3 times, on my way back home, I stopped at Sunoco to fill gas. While filling the gas, I talked to the service technician, and he was interested in looking at the problem. After thoroughly examined, he suggested that the glue was broken around the oil pan and to replace the oil pan with new glue. The cost was 1/3 of what the dealer was asking. Cautiously, I wanted to try this new place as I was very much disappointed with the dealer, and I had no place else to go. I waited almost 6 months just to see how solid the fix was. A big thanks to the technician, I am so happy that the problem never came back. In the future, I would take all my vehicles to this place for routine maintenance and repair services. Also, I wanted to make this post so you all can trust and get the best service from this place.

I received great service for my 06 Corolla recently, fixed a P0171, O2 sensor that was difficult to diagnose. Fast service at a very reasonable price!
