I probably got scammed here. My cat was in for a swollen eye. The actual experience was good. The Dr was communicative and *seemed* knowledgable during the checkup. Was very gentle and patient.Paid $80 for the vet visit itself, ~$160 for 2 tests that were definitely unneeded, and another ~$100 in medication/remedies.The medications were Terramycin, found for $20 on amazon; and diclofenac ~$20 online. 3rd item was a cone, which can be found for $10-20. Got charged double-ish for all items. The tests were not conclusive of any diagnosis and did not tell me what the actual problem was for the swollen eye; clear waste of money. In a way, makes me feel taken advantage of and feels as if the Dr was only trying to raise the bill. Two small things, I had never received an appointment confirmation (if I had missed it, I would lose an $80 deposit). Also, I had asked for both paper and email receipt of the bill-I did not receive an email. Just straight up lack of attention to detail.

We went there with our senior dog to have her lipomas checked out, and Dr. Bauer's bedside manner and the tech's treatment of our sweet old lady were excellent. Dr. B was compassionate and explained the options well when something potentially bad was found in an x-ray. That was on Saturday. She said someone would call us on Monday (as she won't be in), with the results of her blood work and samples. Nobody called on Monday, so I emailed on Tuesday. No reaction. No reply on Wednesday either, so I emailed again on Thursday requesting the results and a copy of the radiologist's findings for the oncologist. Nobody had the results and they were going to request them and have someone call me. After much back and forth I said I don't need a call, just the results, I can read them. Radio silence after that. It's now Friday morning and I still don't have the results. There's no point in going to a practice if the vet is lovely but you have to chase after your results. Especially if your dog has a potentially life-threatening condition. Very disappointing.

This place have earned my trust. Everyone from the front desk, to the doctors and even the managers are very kind and resourceful when treating my pet. I have been bringing my pet here for 8 consecutive years and I’m so thankful for all their service. Reasonable priced but mostly experienced vets and assistants that will help your pet in any need of their medical services. Thank you Town & Country for the excellent job you do with our lovely pets!

Our female golden got spayed at this hospital on December 15th and we were charged an extra $220 as the Dr. wrote in his note that her uterus was larger than normal. However, she had her heat cycle back in September, we asked the doctor how is it possible that a female golden had two heat cycles in 3 months when the frequency should be roughly every 6 months. No response, other than it’s the Dr. Nguyen interpretation. In fact between her 1st and 2nd heat cycle, there was a 9-month interval. We are left with the assumption that this is their tactics to charge extra fees! This is our last time here and would never recommend anyone.

We’ve taken our dog here for many years. Service was fantastic but over the past few years vets have moved on and the vet and administration staff have dramatically declined. Took my 14 y/o dog in for balance issues. After 1.5 hours waiting in the lobby she finally got seen but I never spoke to the vet and sent us on our way. Last week she fell ill again with the same issue and called them. For a same day non emergency visit, they let me know it would be a $200 up charge. I called Vienna animal hospital and saw her the same day with no up charge. Upon 1 look of my dogs stomach, they sensed something was wrong and with an x ray confirmed a football sized tumor in her stomach. The whole visit cost $250. I’m appalled that town and country didn’t notice this a month ago. I would never leave town and country with anything less than a $600 bill. The lack of care, general oversight, and price gouging taking advantage of patients who care for their pets is disgusting. Unfortunately these days they’re all in it for the money and the lack of concern/care of the pets care takers is despicable. Please if you seek care in the Fairfax area to stay away. Was once a decent care facility but all they care about is money.

Clean and super quick. They're very helpful letting you know what's up with your pet and clearly care about your pet. They don't feel like they're trying to go for your wallet but rather have the pet's best interests in mind.

The administrative staff, technicians and all doctors are amazing. Have referred several friends there. They have taken care of several of my dogs over 20 year time span and have done so with impeccable care. We typically see Dr Reed Hall (favorite)but EVERY doctor we have needed to see was amazing!!!

Edit: lol at the owners response, my name isn’t even on the account so how would they know who my pet is. And they are the ones who gave us the advice that made her worse. They are so skeevy here. The advice they gave us made our cat more sick. We were told to schedule a follow up appt. When we called saying there were further issues, even with available appts, they said they’d only take her as an emergency appt for $175, even though we paid almost $700 the week before and the horrible advice that made her worse. And just want to make us pay for more horrible advice? No thanks.

I wrote a post several years ago about how amazing the entire staff is. While I truly believe the doctors do amazing work, however I have watched front desk staff get worse and worse over the years. I think some of it revolves around the possibility of not enough staff. In addition, every single time I go I hear how their computer system, internet, printers etc aren't working. One time I was placed on hold for over an hour juat to be told they were closing and I needed to call back the next day. I have seriously started to think about finding a new clinic. Makes me sad because we have been with them for years, but every visit has increasingly gotten worse when dealing with the front staff.

My pets Dr was Sr and Jr and they are amazing doctors but for some reason the day I went they put my babies with this rude “ lady dr that me and my babies had a weird vibe about.she had a very obnoxious behavior and therefore I’m taking me and my friend’s dogs somewhere else. The cleaning lady was such an amazing person, can’t say the samething for the kindergarten employees working front desk.

The entire staff were so kind, respectful and welcoming. I’ve been to a couple of different vet offices and this was by far one of the best experiences. Dr. Bussanich was so amazing. She took the time to get to know my pet and love on her instead of just immediately trying to exam my dog and leave. She was also patient with me as I asked various questions and she answered them kindly, I’m blessed to of found this place and will be requesting her each time!!

We just switched to Town and Country Animal Hospital after a bad experience at a different vet and I can’t say enough good things about them. We worked with Dr. Christenson who had great bed side manner, was thorough but not an alarmist, and did a good job at communicating with us and explaining the situation and all available options. Like many vets in the area, I think they have some support staffing shortages, but the medical treatment and commitment to getting issues resolved was really impressive. They seem to actually care about your dog and the service they provide. We have been really happy with the diagnostic process and plan to continue using them even though it’s a bit further of a drive than we’d like.

Fast service and knowledgeable attentive staff. Tracy was very helpful and quick to help me.Dr Stahl is very caring. Her communication and engaging personality has given us confidence, understanding of the situation and most importantly she took great care of Oreo. She takes the time to give her undivided attention and explains in comprehensive details the situation. Thanks to Dr Stahl, Oreo is much better. ❤️
