It's time for Richmond to, get out of the liquor business. These government stores, don't allow the regular competition of capitalism. Therefore you'll be paying more. While annoyed with Virginia for this, I must say this is in a decent location. Some of their stores, am cognizant of unusual behaving folks close by. Here is where you will want to go. For Christmas they do have really nice gift sets. That helps me with several relatives who regularly pound booze. As for me I like an occasional Crown Royal Black. It is available here, although when in DC or MD I'll buy it there. Yet when in town, that is available. The employees are of course state employees, but they're helpful with suggestions. A couple of discoveries thanks to them.

Still gaps in the shelves, apparently typical of all Virginia ABC stores these days. Employees had too little knowledge or training to make suggestions.

Well it's my local liquor store it's always good to know the staff joke around with them and they'll show you the best specials and things on sale that you might not see or know about.
