Over the years, I've had multiple transactions with Bill Paige Toyota. I chose to voice my concerns after my car was out of warranty. In 2020, I placed a $3000 deposit on a car promised for next-day delivery, only to discover it was sold from under me as they didn't have it in stock. After a struggle, I managed to get my deposit refunded.Later that year, I leased a car from Bill Paige Toyota. Upon the lease term ending in 2023, the salesman insisted on an extra $1000 transaction fee to purchase the car. After contacting Toyota Financial the next day, I found out this fee was unjustified, and I paid them directly. While Toyota is a great brand, experiences like these at dealerships tarnish both the consumer's trust and the brand's reputation.

This review is strictly on the vehicle sales side of Bill Page Toyota. I worked with Matt Reinersten to get my new Toyota RAV4 Hybrid (I already knew this was the vehicle I wanted.). He was very thorough when I requested for a video of the vehicle before I went out to look at it (lots of buttons pushed and the video showed what it did). No pressure to purchase, and it was a very pleasant experience with him. On the days leading up to me going to the dealership, I was able to call and text Matt to ask him questions and he answered them all and broke things down to an understandable language (my last car was not as technologically advanced as this car, so he explained how the features I had questions about worked and if there was a more basic version of it in my previous car, he was able to relate it back to that and explain the improvements that Toyota has made). Also to note, he did this very professionally without dude-explaining the tidbits that I already knew. 5 out of 5 stars for Matt. Not at the fault of Matt, but to be transparent, the one downside to this dealership is that they do add a dealer markup on their vehicles (as of 2023). (This is the reason for the overall 4 stars instead of 5.)The finance team did a great job in getting me a better rate with Toyota Financial than my credit union, which actually surprised me because usually credit unions give a lower rate. (If you are looking to purchase a car in 2023, be aware that the interest rates are pretty high at the moment.)Overall, I had a pretty good experience purchasing a car at Bill Page Toyota. I highly recommend Matt Reinersten if you are in the market for a new car and want a relaxed shopping experience.

I purchased a 2022 Tundra truck in July 2022 from Bill Page Toyota in Falls Church, VA at a cost of over $68,000. It came with a dealer-installed hard tonneau cover (folding cover that provides secure storage in the truck bed). Toyota and the NHTSA on 3 Mar 2023 issued a safety recall stating that the tonneau cover could detach while driving and fly off, hitting a vehicle traveling behind. I took my Tundra to Bill Page Toyota, which sold me the truck, and on 11 Apr 2023 they removed the tonneau cover as directed by the recall. I was told to wait for a remedy to be issued. I patiently waited, and called and visited Bill Page service department (walk-in) for status updates since no one had contacted me. I was told to wait for notification of a remedy to the recall. In June I called the Toyota headquarters "Customer Service Advocates" seeking help, and I suggested that if Toyota didn't have a recall "fix" for the tonneau cover that was removed and stored, that they should install a replacement cover refund me the amount I paid for that accessory. Toyota Motors corporate office said that there was nothing they could do, and I should contact the dealership. I called Bill Page Toyota to ask for a replacement cover or a refund, and they told me that they were unable to do that and I should call Toyota corporate office or wait for the remedy to the recall. So again I waited until today, 2 Aug 2023 when I called Toyota corporate and was transferred to three different Service Advocates before telling me that I should contact Bill Page Toyota for a replacement or refund. I purchased the Tundra to haul valuable tools and equipment in the truck bed, which I can no longer do. It's been FIVE months since the recall. Come on people--it's a tonneau cover. It should be possible to eliminate the possibility of the tonneau cover flying off in traffic with a modification to install clamps, clips, or bolts. I've happily owned various Toyota cars and trucks continuously since 1998. The level of service by Toyota Motors and Bill Page Toyota dealership to resolve this simple recall issue has been totally unacceptable, as has their lack of communications with me, the customer.

I cannot say enough positive about the experience buying my car from Bill Page Toyota. I had been to 4 other Toyota dealerships and leaving frustrated and demeaned. Marcello Muttoni was respectfully and responsive to what I wanted and what I needed. With low inventories all over I ordered a car being built, he kept me informed of the progress and updated on delivery of my vehicle. The car I ordered was delivered before promised and the extras I wanted were arranged through the dealership, the whole process was painless. I was kept informed and I could not be happier. Even with my crazy schedule, and driving 30 miles one way (past many other Toyota dealerships). They worked with me and helped me through the process. Car shopping has changed dramatically over the years, Bill Page and Marcello have changed with it, the other dealerships have not. I definitely recommend this dealership.

I have previously raved about their service. Not anymore. When I purchased my new Toyota in June of 2018, I received a Bill Page Toyota LOYALTY VOUCHER. It promised, among other things, an oil change service for $9.95, taxes not included. (Hyundai offered free oil changes for life). Despite the clear language of the coupon, the dealer insisted on adding undisclosed charges for shop supplies and an environmental fee. When I protested the additional charges not reflected in the coupon, the service advisors have informed me that such fees are always applied. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and Bill Page Toyota failed to respond.

I've taken my new Toyota vehicle for two maintenance intervals and a manufacturer recall. Each time, a repeat visit was required. They initially refused to complete the recall with the gas tank. A second time, while they did the repair the tank was leaking gasoline and the cabin spelled of gas so badly we couldn't drive the car. We had to return a third time to get it resolved. Most recently, they refused to complete the 15,000 mile maintenance because we were at 14,500. We noted that we had two driving trips coming up and would go over 15,000 miles. This forced as to get the maintenance at 15,700 miles. Again, the vehicle smelled of gasoline in the cabin and they failed to top off fluids as they claimed. The coolant was low and would have required more prior to the next scheduled maintenance. Just too many problems and too difficult to get reliable service in one visit. If it weren't for the free maintenance with a new vehicle, I would never have returned. Cannot imagine paying for service that can never be completed correctly on the first try.

The people that work in the parts department were only vaguely interested in helping. Michael Ko is the man, though! He was able to find the part I needed.

This is my second review of Bill Page Toyota, specifically I have only had interactions with the service department. Primarily, I have had experiences with service advisors / managers Tu Tran and Tu Song; however, all of the employees that I've had interactions with provide excellent customer service, patience with answering questions, and keep individuals informed.I am writing this review because I had an unfavorable experience with another service center that shall not be named and is in no way affiliated with Bill Page Toyota. In my ten years of owning cars, I have experienced great anxiety as a woman related to service centers doing the following and much more: selling me things that I don't need, severely up-charging services, and condescending / passive aggressive communication when I ask for clarification on services (because I am not a subject matter expert and want to understand the basic information on what is happening). Other women know exactly what I am talking about without explanation. I have scheduled service with Bill Page Toyota about five times. Every. Single. Time. The service is absolutely exceptional. The sales advisors tell me that I don't need certain services because it is "too early" or I "don't need it." They patiently explain all services and prices until I understand or feel comfortable (cars are expensive, and I feel comfortable when I am informed). The Bill Page Toyota Team has taken this type of anxiety completely out of me. I am at ease when I arrive, and I feel immensely grateful to not experience discrimination for once.

The experience was poor starting off with the phone call before heading to the dealership. This was the second Toyota dealer we went to that day out of three. We called ahead to ask if they had certain models in their inventory that were within our price range. The sales rep on the line said they only had the nicer models and actually asked on the phone "You can't afford ($ amount that was at least $6K above our threshold)?" Buddy, if you want a sale, that ain't how you go about talking to a potential client. Questioning our ability to pay was quite frankly insulting. We finally go to the dealership and we go to the front desk. The woman at the front is on her phone and we stand there for several seconds waiting for her to direct us to a sales rep. Finally the same sales rep we talked to over the phone comes to us himself. The woman never left her seat and I still don't know if she looked up at all.We told the sales rep our threshold and what we were looking for. Rather than listen to us, he kept trying to up sell even with firm "No, we can't afford this." He kept deflecting and not answering our questions. For example, I asked what features the luxury models had that really made them worth the price point compared to the more basic models we were looking for. His response was "Because they are luxury and have more features." That's not a convincing argument to spend $10-20K more than what we can actually afford. He fit the stereotype of a car salesman trying to make the highest sale possible with no regard with his clients limitations or what they wanted/needed.The final straw was when he came back with the supposed Carfax info he downloaded on the car we wanted to trade in; he straight up lied to us and said that the car has been in "a few accidents, like 3 or 4." Well, 1) which is it? 3 or 4 accidents? and 2) we had the carfax already and our vehicle was in exactly 1 accident. The third Toyota dealership we went to actually printed out the Carfax for us and it showed exactly ONE accident, not "3 or 4."With that it was a no brainer to leave. We let the rep know that we need to discuss things and we are going to keep looking for more affordable models. The sales rep gave one last parting shot to us by saying we won't find the desired models for less and we won't get better financing. I left feeling like I just broke up with a guy that I dated for 3 weeks because I realized how toxic he is with his gaslighting and condescending attitude.Maybe the sales rep we had is new, but this was by far the worst experience of the day. We had a great experience with Priority Toyota in Springfield and a good experience with Ourisman Toyota in Fairfax. I'd urge you to consider those dealerships before Bill Page Toyota in Falls Church.

Took partner's older model Prius in for a checkup. Told check-in person that vehicle just had an expensive, synthetic oil change. An oil change did not need to happen. It was louder in the dealership. He gave me the slip; I signed it. Car goes in for the job. When I get the car back, they have changed the oil! Why? Lesser grade oil, too! Well, it was on the slip. I should have read the order slip. (True; I agree.)Later manager comes out. Quite confrontative. Clearly my fault. But they will generously change the oil again. I'm sorry, but highly sexist demeanor and language. Many attempts at conciliation led to more arrogant and dismissive behavior. So, I left and won't be going back. I don't want anything from you. Later they want a rating?! Uh no.Of note: am a female Psychiatry physician. And I had just arrived from a more rural area. Folks are less predatory there.

Ive never had a salesman act as rude or as condescending as the salesman I spoke with at Bill Page. The only person who could rival him, was his sales manager who I spoke with as well.

Your sales people are unprofessional and clueless into the cars they sell. I spoke to a kid in your used car sales department he acted like an immature child.
