Amazing customer service from Mr. Aloyce on 3/17/24 at 5:30 PM. Aloyce is a true asset to the Giant company. Impressed with my wonderful Giant store and all its fantastic products!

I agree with most comments, I don't go to this place for the customer service, it is very deficient, specially at the self service stations.But...….tonight Jake from the Deli department, was a true example of how customer service should be. Even though the Deli was closed, he insisted on helping after i suggested i would just grab some pre packed turkey. He happily helped me with cutting some fresh turkey slices, and all throughout with a great attitude. This is the first time in 2 years of me shopping at this location that I get a good service like this, even to motivate me to write this review.Make sure Jake is being remunerated properly, because he exemplifies what you all as a corporation should have for employees.

I shopped a lot at the store and usually have no issues. However, I did find out that some staff at the front desk would allow people to cut the line and accommodate them first. I don't understand why they gave priority to some people. But it certainly is unfair to the rest of customers. With that being said, most staff are friendly and helpful.

Store does not have a good layout and the staff is rude. Also can't hear their remarks under the 3 masks some of them wear . The doors don't work well, which is a inconvenient and annoying.

Ordered grocery pickup last Friday for the first time because I was sick and didn’t feel up to grocery shopping. I got there, called, and waited about 25-30 minutes in my car and nothing. Didn’t seem like anyone was getting their groceries so me and some of the other people picking up went inside. We were told that our orders were ready but weren’t ready? It was a little strange. We were also told someone new was back there fulfilling orders which I understood and didn’t mind waiting since I’m sure they were overwhelmed.Waited there long enough that I could’ve done my own grocery shopping. Another person waiting for her pick up asked customer service when she could expect her order because she had been waiting just as long as me, and they couldn’t give her an answer. When my order finally came out, I was told I was missing “a few” items and that I would be credited for them.I went home to find 13 items missing from my order. Many of them were easy to substitute like mac and cheese and chicken bouillon, but I assumed he was just overwhelmed and I was okay with picking them up elsewhere as long as I was credited. That evening, I got a call from who I assume was the manager apologizing for my wait that day, and asking if there were any issues with my order. I mentioned the missing items and he seemed very upset with the man pulling the order and said he didn’t think any of those items were out of stock. He apologized and said that he would have someone pull my order correctly the next day free of charge, and that someone would contact me to arrange a pick up time.I never got a phone call the next day, but I checked the Giant website to see my past orders and saw that my order for the day before was comped, so I assumed the manager decided to just do that instead.Today I checked my credit card and found that a “delivery” order was created on my account on October 16th, and the delivery address was the address of the store? I didn’t order any items for delivery, and realized that the total was the total I WOULD’VE paid if I had received all the items on October 12th. There weren’t any items listed in the order either, it just said “undefined items”.Thank goodness for the Giant Rep on the website chat, she was able to credit me for the items that I didn’t receive. I find it really shady that they tried to charge me in full for an order that I only received a part of. Don’t think I’ll be returning to this location and if I do, I will not be doing pickup.

They recently got rid of most of their vegetarian section. Now it’s just a few tofu blocks but no other fake meat, tempeh, etc. Couldn't even find other more "niche" items like miso paste the other day. Edit: Apparently vegan cheese is there, but it's been moved so harder to find. It's quite a shame because this grocery store is my only walkable grocery store, but now I’ll have to go elsewhere to get my meat alternatives.

Used to be my go-to store. But they ended senior discount day, too many of their coupons require a $25 purchase, the deals are too complex (buy X of this product and Y of another), and unlike Harris Teeter, don't offer one item half price for BOGO sales.Update 8.21: Giant's "response" is boilerplate nonsense and doesn't address my points at all. We all know how to use coupons and find sales.

Not the safest location; keep your wallet secured. I no longer 'use' this store. Weary of being asked to make donations.

Much help from both Jiang ?? & Prem??at the self-checkout. Every time! Lovely ladies, so friendly, and always patient & willing to help me with problematic issues on the scanner. (Today an issue with the receipt being printed, or actually not printed.) ?I enjoy coming to this Giant precisely because of the warm, easy attitude, and the constant availability for assistance even during very busy store hours. ?? ?

This is the nicest Giant Food market I've ever shopped. Danny at self check-out is very helpful and friendly. Prices on some items are very good but on many others unusually high. They had an excellent deal on Grade A Large Eggs ($2), rotisserie chicken (very good), fresh pineapple and lettuce. But other items I didn't buy because of price (canned tuna, canned soup, fresh fish). We tried their sushi too and it was very good. The store is neat and clean. Parking lot is spacious and clean too.

Be careful when buying produce here. Some items are sold by the pound, and others by the piece, which can make them significantly more expensive than they appear. It even sometimes varies between different varieties of the same type of item, so look closely for the unit on the price sign. (I posted this review because I thought the self-checkout machine had charged me double for a certain type of fruit, but the price it used was actually correct; I just didn't notice that type of fruit was priced by a different unit than the others around it.) Will update to a 5-star review if they revise their signage to either make the units more noticeable or to price everything by a consistent unit.

I’m repeatedly disappointed by my local Giant. Besides prices rising astronomically even in the last few months, their online pickup is a joke. If you respond OMW to the text they send, to let them know you’re coming, no one reads it. I’ve sat in the pickup area so many times where I could have done all my shopping and been gone faster. If you choose the 7 PM pick up or later, the online pickup people have already left and no one knows that they’re gone, so no one is able to bring you your groceries. Why offer this service if you can’t provide it? Often I go in right after pickup, or come back after I’ve gotten home, to shop for the “out of stock” items myself, and I usually find the actual item or an equivalent replacement with no trouble, and no one ever calls to tell me what’s out. When they do actually substitute it’s a terrible choice. The most recent ridiculous substitutions included a gluten free muffin mix in place of regular muffin mix. This is not a reasonable substitution. If I didn’t order gluten free, bc have no dietary restrictions, why would I want gluten free in my replacement? While this is my local store, it definitely is not the most convenient and I will shop elsewhere whenever I can because it will take me just as long as all the effort to correct the mess in my pickup orders.

The store is changing. The area we live in and it's economy will see that Giant continues to operate. The prices are.going up it seems dailySome items have a 100% increase. Inventory is not what it was and alot of new faces among the old-timers. One thing I keep in mind is nobody ever thought the A&P would go down so Safeway Eastern Division and Giant Ahold remember everyone and everything is replaceable.
